The reason its not showing the correct RPM is that we have 3 coil packs and each coil feeds 2 spark plugs...so each coil pack has to fire twice per revolution of the engine. This means that each spark plug fires twice for each revolution and you gun thinks that each time it fire's is 1...

you need an alignment tool...if you got a new clutch it would come with one. Its a plastic thing that looks like the output shaft of the trans that holds it in placed while you tighten up the pressure plate.

Bring it down to Hunter Toyota...I heard they do great work and don't cost you an arm and a leg.

with MHG...if you have things preped right and torque down correctly it shouldn't blow unless you do something really stupid. You may have had it machined but was it smooth enough...most shops don't do a good enough job for a MHG.

Matt and I pull his trans last night and it for sure was the flex plate hitting oil pan and making the nose but not sure why it started all the sudden...nothing was broken. I do have one question though...there is a spacer that goes alone with the flex plate...does that go between the flex...
