Hi guys, I'm getting a custom catback soon. Here's my idea. The piping will be 3" crush bent, unfortunately. My friend's dad's shop with the mandrel bender is way too expensive even with my "special discount" on account of quality materials. This guy Anthony has a shop by the "shea stadium junk yard" in Queens, NY will do it for me for $120 tops. I plan on putting a single 3" inlet/outlet muffler or resonator where the 1st muffler is on the stock system and have a straight 3" piping exit the rear as a tip. Do you guys think this would look wierd? Would it be too loud? Please reply.

crush bent FTL!!
how much are they charging you to get mendral bending....
shouldn't cost u that that much, i think u need to go to another shop and find a better deal.
like other membr said it will kill performance, and even if it is expensive around your area, i'd save up cuz it will be worth it...

Crush bent isn't really that bad if you can keep the bends to a minimum. If you are running stock now...it will be a huge improvement. I also have a muffler like you are talking about and its not too loud at all. It sounds great.

I bought crush bent catback off Boost Lee and the difference was awesome compared to stock...and the money you save it very nice as well.

Anything i s better than my pancaked catback. The car fell on a jack and crushed the exhaust pipe. I've never driven the car with it working fine. I cant wait to see the improvement. Hopefully if i run the setup i was talking about, with one muffler way up the system i can minimize the # of bends.

I've got a 180* 3" mild steel mandrel bend here that I probably will never use. I'll sell it to you for like $20 + shipping...
You can cut whatever angles you want out of it and have yourself a mandrel bent exhaust, and best part will be it'll still be cheap!
