Not sure what this means but it sounds like he doesn't have his turbo installed and thats how I took it.
If he tried to run it this way with his turbo installed that would be bad as you say.
Ok, you have a boost leak. Check all your IC piping. The pips can crack and you could even have a hold in your IC.
It can be hard to track down so take your time but from everything you have said I'm sure that is your problem.
Thats what I was thinking as well. I know there has been autocross tracks setup at the Columbus Airport before, Matt went to one few years back I think.
We need to find out what it takes to setup an Autocross, I have never done that but I think it would be a blast.

I should probably be worrying about my BHG repair first.
If you have a leak in the IC piping it could cause idle problems because it could be sucking in unmetered air and under boost it would be leaking so that could cause the boost to be low and make it feel slow.
I know nothing about the FCON, however I would start out with the simple things first...
