    The Mistress

So I was out working on my car, diagnosing an electrical fault with my headlight signal, and I was interrupted for half an hour by these friendly little critters.

    Coolant or water wetter?

Premixed is really good for one thing... separating people from their money in a reasonably painless fashion.

    best big brake kit?

From what I recall, there is only one real option, the Wilwood kit from Andy at ARZ performance. Various other kits have been done at one time or another - Doward, Nightpager, AP Racing, for instance, but I don't think any of those are still in production. If you're lucky, and patient, you...

1JZ Trying for 600hp on pump

I'd love to see someone do it, because I'd love to see a reasonable comparison to my 2J.

1JZ Trying for 600hp on pump

According to our list of engine power records, it's not likely. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?66742-***SM-Member-Horsepower-List*** If there are plenty of people who have done this already, they need to scan a dyno sheet and get on the damn list. 1J owners are such a group of...

    The Mistress

Well, did some work last night... in the rain, unfortunately, but you can't have everything you wish for. Discovered one of the down sides to driving a car that's LOUD, and that is the fact that you can't hear the squealers that warn you when your brake pads are low. Wore the rear brakes all...

Survey: The environment and SupraMania's thoughts on it.

Hmm... not sure if my input would help you any, as I'm not in the US, but it's not much of an investment on my part, so why not. I work in management in computer software, in British Columbia, Canada. I'll stick my answers in above.

    TSRM section for heater core?

No, that is more than likely the blower resistor. Lucky for you, it's cheap and easy to replace.

    TSRM section for heater core?

By the way, anyone have any experience with aftermarket heater cores? They are nearly $300 from Toyota USA, Rock Auto carries them for $50 - $110, depending on brand.

    Electrical Raceway

Got mine from a guy who picked up a brand new harness... I've talked to a few guys about having them replicated, but it hasn't happened yet.

    TSRM section for heater core?

Ya, it's only a few hundred $$$, and it's a lot of trouble saved, so that's the route I'll take. Why try to shortcut a car that I'm already so deep into? And worse, this is one of the biggest pain in the ass parts, so I'd rather change it and be done with it for another 25 years. Agreed...

    TSRM section for heater core?

Only kind of. I can verify that the leak is under the dash, but there are at least three pieces under there, and it could be any of them... in theory. In reality, if the extension hoses never seem to fail, it's very likely the heater core.

    TSRM section for heater core?

Well, it may not be the heater core, but something between the two connections to the engine compartment is leaking. Not much, maybe a liter every two months, but it's annoying and I hate the occasional whiff of hot coolant in the cabin. I'm debating whether to take everything apart and...

    what do you guys do?

The reliable, cheap Supra is a myth. If you want to drive this car, it costs. The End.

    Launch recommendations?

Street vs Track is going to be hugely different... the VHT compound on tracks will increase the RPM you'll need to hit to avoid bogging.

I've done over 100 in a week. It sucks.

    Dragster just explodes! Why?

Some fuels also contaminate the oil enough to make it combustible in a very short period of time. Explosive oil makes for an extremely short engine life.
