I wouldn't recommend you get stuff from eBay, you dont know exactly what you are getting . Just check out the authorized vendors part of the forums, they are there for a reason and they have the parts you will need and more.
You can use the 2jz Map Sensor, it will plug right in. If you do go with the 2jz map sensor you wont have to retune your car, my 1jz had the same air-fuel ratios with the 1jz and the 2jz map sensor and nothing had to be changed
For the wiring just read the stickies in the top of the other engine tech section. the Map sensor is not located on the motor, it is located on the firewall by the brake booster.
Call up Driftmotion, i know that they have piece to block off the extra oil drain line. As far as the coolant lines, unless your turbo has water cooling, block off all the old coolant lines that used to go to the twins. and block off whatever vacuum lines you are not using
Thats why you should be buying from and supporting the community vendors. They generally know what they are doing, and and have tested and checked their products to make sure it works.
I am running electric fans on my 2jz car with no problems even with a bigger turbo. I also ran electric fans on my 1jz car also with no problems which also drove around florida for a whole year with electric fans on the highway and city and temps stayed stable. Make sure the area between your...
Check out the page below and make your decision, i stand by what i said. I am using the BIC mounts and they work perfectly.
http://bicperformance.com/products.htm Scroll down
I would say you are correct, those do look like pre 89 motor mount brackets. If you go to the bic website you will see a comparison between the two. To swap a jz motor into a mk3 you will need those brackets (unless it came from a JZA70 supra) because you cant use the ones that were on your 7m...
Does anyone in the Tacoma/Spanaway area have an Impact gun that i can use? i just need to borrow it for 5 min to pull a crank bolt off of an engine outside the car.
thanks Nate. Actually i just used the original proportioning valve, and had steel braided brake lines made for for the whole car. If you have any questions gurley, ill answer what i can.
pull it apart and replace all the seals gaskets including the head gasket. It sucks getting your car all put together only to find a BHG. Ask me how i know, i replaced everything except the headgasket because i taught the 2jz's weren't supposed to get that, and i thought 2jz's didnt get BHG's...
The stock twins will work, but a single fits a lot better. you don't need a USDM ECU as the JDM ECU will work and uses a MAP sensor versus the AFM on the USDM ECU, If you use a USDM ECU i believe you will need a USDM harness of modify the JDM harness. As far as parts you will need visit here...
