any codes? any sounds when you turn the key? how old was the parts car starter? if you think it's the ignition switch you could always hook up a multi meter and see if it's sending voltage when you turn the key (TSRM or haynes manual)...might take an extra pair of hands. auto or manual? if...

i'd recommend a divorced downpipe from one of the venders on here...proven better than the standard 3" DP/elbow...and if you get it from BIC (becauseican) he can put a v-clamp adapter on it. then you just replace the elbow/DP with the new one - get the other half of the v-clamp adapter welded...
