I don't know which way it is going, but there is one hell of a nasty storm in the Mobile county area right now. It looks like we are at the southern tip of it. You guys might get a bit of it, as I don't know how big the system is.
Well, I have a black carpet over the top of the grey in my Frankensupra. I'm not sure if it is molded, but it fits perfectly. I love the quietness of the 2 carpets. I'm thinking about swapping it into the new car. I kinda like the idea of black carpet and grey mats.
So, How much do you like the...
My trip to Victoria yesterday (1200+ mile non-stop) opened my eyes to just how big and empty that state really is. I don't wish to ever pull a trailer through that last 150 miles again. Very narrow walled lanes with passing 18 wheelers doesn't make a novice trailer puller comfortable.
I'm dead beat today Noah, but maybe next week. I have an aweful lot of work to do before this car is road worthy. He had it taken apart for paint for reasons unknown. There's a small clearcoat spot on the hood that is gone. And he wanted to spray the bay and hatch area. Many parts are on the car...
I will sell off most of Frank, but I have too much invested to throw away when it is over. Frank will probably be saved for a future build.
A new thread will be stared very soon. I have no help here at the moment to get it off the trailer. Gotta start a part out before a new thread, but not in...
Pictures tomorrow to show why this car is officially getting parted out. The new car is still on the trailer. I just got back from a 25 1/2 hour non stop trip. My new car is sexy as hell!!!!!!!!
***EDIT***
Maybe just one, I can't help it. I have some more building to do.
I'm in the Mobile area. The accordian is pretty simple. The AFM goes on one end, with the connector facing inward toward the block. Then it connects to the turbo. Then, you have the three PVC hoses, and they should be pre-formed. One comes off the BOV and goes to one of the forward holes. The...
How about pictures of my motor that I just pulled with everything in place....out of the car where you can see it. I'm not sure when I can post them, but sometime over the weekend. It'd probably be tomorrow or Sunday.
I am going tomorrow night to pick up a new shell myself. I'm not sure what I will do with this shell I have now. I have $700 worth of paint in the engine bay. I can't just let that go. But ask my wife, I still have to win that one.
You usually can find them in the parts for sale section. You need to be careful what you buy though. You don't want very much play at all, no chips on the compressor wheel, and no cracks on the exhaust side.
You'd be better served if you could afford the $500-600 Driftmotion turbos.
I hated a Maverick as I grew up with nothing but Classic Mustangs. But, now that I'm a Classic myself, cars like yours are making me rething my position on them. Very Nice work Lance!!!!!
BTW.......Anything new with your Supra? How about making a sig picture so we can see it once in a while?
