Hmm another quick question for those smarties :)
A long time ago I picked up a mitsi igniter, in some thread a couple years ago or so I believe they were going to use this igniter with aftermarket ecus, is it still viable? (Being dh61's aren't too common here) here's a pic of what it looks...
I don't know if they can but I'll probably order a set of shocks and stash them away for when mine do naff out, gotta give it to tokico back in the day though, mine are 27 years old now and still going strong LOL
But as I said above, they have no immediate plans to discontinue the product so...
More bad news, toyota is discontinued on my end of the world.
Guess that means one day when my shocks die I'll have to get stock ones *cries hysterically, i <3 my tems :(*
Unfortunately the supra shocks aren't even in the 2013 catalogue and don't plan to be added in the coming october listing either :/
I think... we're gonna have to source them via toyota? *sob*
You wish, in NZ these companies have barely even heard of tems let alone how to to get them lol
but hey, I'll give some of the companies a call and see what happens lol
It all depends on how the new pump was wired in.
My car, I still use the factory fuel/relay system so in the event of an accident my fuel system will still turn off but I bypassed the resister in the engine bay and connected another relay further down the body in the car to supply 12v but...
People are presuming you have no spark due to ^^
I had a similar problem recently, whether it's the same or not is a different story but turned out my fuel pump had started seizing and wasn't getting fuel up to the rail.
Pretty much if you have spark, fuel, air, then it should start...
I'm still using the auto ecu + etc ecu (couldn't be arsed removing it lol), I just jumped the wires for the neutral switch in the harness and connected up the reverse wires and all goes fine with mine.
if one end goes to the charcoal cannister then the other end should go to the throttle body (correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not familiar with the egr motors lol)
edit: do you have a boost gauge? If not grab a cheapie and see what your vacuum is at idle
ahh I suppose I should have specified, they were 2 separate sorta questions there heh
I decided on not using that coil anyway, just gonna stick with the stockers and dh61 ignitor :)
Thanks for the info :D
I haven't read through all of the thread yet but I went to our local pick a part and found one of these lying about, picked it up for cheap, I'm not sure of the specifications of it or if it can even be used. I liked that the coils overall are alot smaller and seems it comes off a renault...
