If you got both colour harnesses with the engine you bought there probably won't be any issues, just match the plug colours, it's fairly obvious, ecu has either yellow or grey plastic connectors, so if the ecu is grey, hook up a grey harness to it or yellow with yellow. Your post sounds to me...
Since the new fuel pump I gotta prime the pump up but it technically starts quickly once it has fuel.
As for where I powered it, nfi, probably had some horrible good reason at the time :p
I'm going to release alot of the load or ensure the loads for the gauges are on good circuits before I...
So I'm going to be doing a lil work to the car soon and would like to resolve this issue I have. My mrel drops voltage severly on cranking and I think has lower voltage compared to the rest of the ign wires.
Here is an old thread bout it...
Sooo, you two would be the ones to ask about mrel operation then? :p
Mine is near broken and I'm not sure why, I had a fancy ecu fella check over my ecu and he said it was fine but my mrel has really really bad voltage drop :/
I could never figure out why so I decided that I'm going to get...
You're a good bouncing board Dirgle :p is ^ in regards to the cel? I see in the expanded diagrams that the cel goes to the ign fuse but in the efi section it goes to gauge fuse.
You will have to forgive me when it comes to the electrical side, I'm self taught through experience so I'm still...
Do 2 pins in the isc have 12v with ign on?
In the big square yellow or gray connector where the ecu is check pin 9 does that have 12v?
Does the 2 b/r at the ecu in the end plug have 12v?
For you to have power on both sides of efi fuse it seems all before that circuit is fine, are you sure you...
Damn, got some bad news for ya buddy, speaking from experience lol
We had a 7m that had an issue with the tensioner, it was a plastic type idler on it rather than steel like most of them but it was from the same company that did the steel ones so we figured it'd be okay, turned out no.. no way...
Interesting so it was actually going the other way, the efi circuit was actually powering up mrel lol
Glad this thread won't be bugging me any further :p
My mrel circuit on my car has really bad voltage drop which is quite unexplained, efi circuit still operates atm and had the ecu checked out...
mmm I'm not looking forward to having to rebuild it again so soon :/
I'll check over the basics and clear up whether it's an easy one or a /rage one heh
The jumper he has in the engine bay is powering at the injector resister pack. So it's live all the time, only way he can kill it is to stall it then when he pulls the key out it's switching off from the key. At least how I see it, however if that is indeed the case then that would suggest that...
Good points too however if you power the b/o at the resister with 12v then it's just gonna travel back to other circuits that are joined to this same one and power them up too so it's likely the efi fuse is probably fine and am2 is just out, or the solder join on the back of the ignition has...
Ahh I just saw your pic, you are definitely jacked into the AM2 IG2 circuit and 12v is being applied likely from one of the many power sources in your engine bay fuse box (black w/ red). It would appear from a glance that either your am2 fuse is gone or your efi fuse, have you checked those yet...
