As for the original question, I don't think the turbulence added by that end tank design is going to add significantly to the turbulence added by the bar and plate design, or the fact that air has to reverse direction inside the opposite end tank.

I'd highly recommend using genuine Toyota parts for these as well. The aftermarket ones seem to last a year or so, while the original stuff lasts 20 years.

Sounds like a pretty major short in the system somewhere. I'd start by checking how much power you're pulling from the battery with the engine off with an amp meter.

Does it have a torsen diff? Or was it swapped long before you purchased it?

Rest assured, we won't collapse any area that still gets traffic. That would be silly.

Most of the regional talk, meet planning, that kind of stuff has moved from the forums to various Facebook groups. We'll likely start retiring areas here and maybe leaving links to FB. It's just the evolution of things... the users will migrate to whatever service suits their needs the most.

That will shatter it like glass. There's been LOTS of examples of folks running damn near stock power levels and breaking the things over the years.
