I suggest you get them from the dealer. I like to use OEM toyota valve stem seals. They last along time. Like any seal you should put a small amount of grease on the inside sealing part of seal that rides on the valve. Prevents tearing on start up. Most people do not make sure the valve...
That gasket set is good. Good and cheap. I would not use it. If I was doing the job I would get an OEM set form the Toyota dealer. Heck you need to go some FIPG anyway. I would rather save money on a Gates hose set that driftmotion sells and get a OEM gasket set. IMO.. Good luck.
The harness matches the car. Use your old harness. The sensors on water outlet housing may need to reuse old sensors or swap water outlet housing. It will plug up and run fine except for two or three sensor s on the water outlet. What they told you before is correct.
If broke re use all...
You are doing good. Need to install the fuel main and return lines. install the wire harness and upper intake.
Put on your turbo and coolant lines to turbo.
Make sure knock sensors are installed and don't look all melted distorted from 25 years of heat.
I would replace the Heater...
Lots of great and real advise. A 350whp supra is very fun to drive. Going for 400 or more everyday whp can get $$$$. Big cross over.
BTW I would run a MKIV pump for up to 500 whp. Quiet and last 100,000 miles IMO.
Don't waste money on high amp alternator. No better or worse charging...
Don't forget the budget busters.
All new coolant hoses. I only use OEM Toyota. More $ but i thinks it is worth it.
New accordian hose. and hoses going to it.
New pcv vent hose on cam cover to block. Hoses on factory pcv vent hoses.
New plug wires.
And Some $ in misc .
Drive belts...
I would in no way make my own gaskets unless I was in the middle of no where. Then again the factory gasket would probably not leak. I am amazed how some people go so far away from what make the Supra's special in the first place. Great Toyota engineering and parts. Then they have the nerve...
If this is an issue why would you do a mod that "could make engine not good for street use" Usually our cam journals look like crap but kind of normal. I would not reduce oil flow to head.
Most people who build domestic engines work on enlarging and improving the oil return flow of an...
What was the failure of your rebuild? If you don't know root cause take all part to machine shop. Dirt and improper cleaning is usually the cause of bearing failure. Each and every part that comes back from machine shop needs a thorough cleaning of at least brake clean and compressed air. I...
Let me try to help you out.
1 You ruined your AFM by " just cleaned it up with some spray".
2 Insulation breaks down over time especially with the ends submersed in engine oil. "my plug wires look ok" You are not Clark Kent with Xray vision. Buy new OEM Toyota plug wires. What is the...
Fix the oil leaks. Cam cover gaskets and reseal core plugs.
Replace spark plugs and plug wires.
Plug wires look ok? Do you have a insulation tester?
And new AFM.
