No, it say sqv on the top. Came in an hks box though, so i figured it was an hks. I know you dont get boost by revving. But the bov will still "spit". Thats my only point with that. Lol. So when it spits, Im not hearing the normal hks sound, its fluttering. But Ive concluded that the bov isnt...
Its a real HKS BOV. At least I think it is, my step father gave it to me, and he paid 200 bucks for it. So I pretty sure its an HKS. No I havent been running the in line filter, and neither did he and he used it for over a year without it (in line filter). Ive only used it for about 2 to 3 days...
Yes, but i believe you would still see the bov move to relieve the pressure correct? The bov didnt move at all. Meaning the spring inside it didnt allow the valve to open.
I went and took a vid of the bov and the noise it is making. I noticed that the bov isnt even moving. The fluttering is coming from the AFM??? Or accordian hose area. Ill put the vid up once its done uploading.
Im gonna be pissed if its suppose to flutter and ive been breaking my balls to fix it.
Ij, my camera is dead. Its about 4 to 5 inches away from the 3000 pipe. This is the pipe, the orange coupler is connected to the 3000 pipe.
Ive checked all the vac lines. Its pretty close to the 3000 pipe. Could that be the problem? All I know is its fluttering. How could I tell if its compressor surge?
Im glad you told me that, because I read the description at vivid racing, and thought the same thing, but was still thinking of buying there. Now Im not though. lol. Thanks for the help.
Seen that vid quite a few times. See I dont know if my turbo is doing that because Im not keeping it under load long enough for it to do that. I know the bov is fluttering and every hks ssqv bov ive heard does not flutter like that.
Im not sure if its adjustable or not..Ill have to check, but I dont think it is. There it happens at low boost, and high boost. I ran the car to about 5500 rpms in second gear and let off, and it fluttered faster than a humming bird.
Im not going to keep boosting, I know it detroys the turbo...
