News from Jalopnik New Supra? UPDATED INFO from JalopniK

I don't see why Toyota couldn't build a car comparable to a GTR for just under $100,000. The GTR is not a bad car, just won't ever quite the beast the MKIV or Skyline were back in the day.

Paypal acct required! I wonder what the paypal fees on 650K would be (without going to look it up). And do you think the buyer will wire the funds without ever seeing the car in person???????

So how many mk3's have you junked/scrapped?

At last count, I had parted 10. All of those were pretty much dead, and were used to help many of you better your cars. I still have at least 1 part from most of them, as any part better than mine was always kept. I also saved a shell from TooStands demolition, and brought it back to life for a...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Very nice build! I have just read pages 1-30 and 41-42. I'll finish later. I have a totaled 2005 Trailblazer under a carport in my yard. I'm slowly parting it out, and have dismantled almost all of it. I still have a blown motor with all wiring. The motor is still in the truck with the...

Anyone seen this color MK3 before?

I have parted out 1 and seen another one here locally. Sorry, I have no pictures. It is a very rare color though.

Why is my New Clutch Slipping - proper break-in

Your problem could be related to the non-turbo transmission. I know it has been done before, but I believe 300 is about the limit on it. Take into consideration that they are not getting any newer.

7MGTE revs out of control on start up

ECU should cut fuel at or near 1700rpm, giving you an up/down fluctuation to your idle.

    '87 Drag Car 7M awesomeness

I didn't say it can't be done! I said it will be very interesting to see. As far as I know, Mibrum has done it (1000+), and so has Duane. There may be a couple more. It's not an everyday occurance, and I'm sure it takes FAR above average workmanship. I don't have any idea what the skills of you...

Cool project Jeff! Long time no see. Looks pretty easy coming apart. We'll see how easy it is going back once you change motors.

    First post, but not new!

Bout time you posted something! haha Welcome! Speaking of old cars, you may be familiar with mine, as it came from Texas. It's the car formally known as Fast Toy. Anyway, I'm in for pictures of past and present. BTW.....you are not the first to sell the Supra for an STI, only to wish they had...

Getting a paint job, have a few questions

Over the years, I have always heard Maaco is good paint......their prep work is shit. This is why most of their work sucks. A paint job is only as good as the prep work. If you are not a good body man, or don't have the tools to be, find another painter. If you can take it to them ready to...
