The issues I see in that video are:
1. Temperature gauge not working. If it isn't sending the ECU the proper signals, you could get running issues.
2. Idle is a bit high
3. At 3:40 in the video, you have 3 lights lit near the check engine light. I'm not sure which lights those are, but you...
That link should be stickied!!!!!!!!!! It is awesome. Thank you very much for the help. Car should be up and running today, if the family can quit calling my name.
First a little back story. this car has not been running since I have put the motor in it. It doe run, but won't idle right, so I have never driven it much. I had a stripped bolt hole where the thermostat housing bolts to the head, so I have not had any coolant in it. When I crank it, I don't...
Beautiful car! I have a suggestion for while the motor is out...................
That was $700 wasted, but it was beautiful. I gave that car to jugodegolf, and he had it painted by an idiot. He then gave up on trying to fix it. I gave up on that car when I got my 92. Anyway, the...
I too pay taxes. and I'm damn proud of you for what you do. I'd much rather the idiots taking my taxes keep you here protecting our shores, but we have no say in how they play with our money and your lives.
Those bolts look like they should be in your oil pan. Can you jack the car up and look to see if you have bolts in all bolt holes around your oil pan. If so, look to see if any of them don't match all of the others. He may have used bolts from somewhere else to bolt up the pan.
There is enough good information on this site to forget who that mechanic is. You can do almost anything to this car by yourself, even if you have little mechanical knowledge. You can't do much worse on your own than most mechanics do to your car not knowing much about the car. There are plenty...
Sounds like you have a failed clutch master or slave cylinder. It is recommended that you change both, IF that is the case. A new one at one end will quickly overwork the other if you just change the bad one, and you will be there again.
Your frustration will disappear just as soon as you have...
I drove the car again today twice so far. The first drive early this morning went about like yesterday, which was good, but not quite good enough. I did some looking around at vacuum lines after that. I found that the big thick line that runs from the EGR to the EGR modulator was just dangling...
You will learn to love it. Try to increase it to 10% over time. Then, whenever you get a raise, increase it some then. You will never notice it. Maybe increase it by the 1/2 amount of the raise, so you get a raise, and so does the fund. You usually can contribute like 6% +$20 per check, or...
