Yeah I was going to try that housing on my HX when I had it, but they were on backorder at the time.
I'm thinking about selling this whole motor and turbo setup this fall when I pull it out to paint the car. The VVTi JZ motors :yumyum: just keep nagging in the back of my mind with their...
I'd like to pick up a Geo Metro 1.0L for a daily. They are DIRT cheap and get about 50mpg. Almost had a 1.3L model a few days ago, but the guy decided to sell it to his relatives.
I think the blade hit a rock.
Seriously though, it was a pulling tractor that over revved from the excess fuel left after a run... http://forums.24hoursoflemons.com/viewtopic.php?id=15927
You need a t4/t3 adapter, you can't file the bolt holes. You can also weld a T3 flange on top and thread that for studs but the adapter is WAY easier, and if you ever decide to get a T4 turbo you can just take the adapter off. They make a short flat one that's only about 3/4" thick, you want...
I'd take a rubber mallet and tap along where the panels join and see if you can crack them loose. Hopefully they used the shitty regular bondo and not marglass or all-metal.
If you don't know where the body lines should be just look at the pictures of another car, the pictures in the link in my...
It would be a little funny if someone showed up with cash to buy it and the engine was seized from sitting for 20 years or something. Ok, maybe not funny. Tragic, I think, would be the word. I think the price is figured based on inflation of original sticker price. It's about right in that...
A MKIV mount isn't even close. You need the trans crossmember from a manual trans MKIII, not just the rubber mount.
You'll also need a different slave cylinder, but I've posted that info at least 5 times already, so if you search you'll find it.
If you don't have luck with the search here...
One safety benefit of a carbon fiber shaft is that if it ever does let go they disintegrate into a pile of fibers and won't damage much.... or so I've heard. The only one I've ever seen that failed was on a pickup truck, and it failed on the highway after it was crunched on a rock earlier in the...
It would be fine if your goals are under about 500whp. You wouldn't even need a 2-step/stutterbox to spool it.
If you want to run 10's though you'll need a bigger turbo. I don't think this one could go lower than 11's. I'm not a drag racing expert though, just guessing here.
I didn't like the idea of a one piece based on the whole "science" of why they're bad for our car... but I'm thinking when I do my R154 swap I'm going to get an aluminum one piece. I'm all about the weight loss. That would almost make up for the 40 pounds I'd gain with the R154 vs the W58.
I...
I run the classic Trust/Grex Greddy shift knob. I've had the same one for 9 years and I used it on 3 different cars. It's held up very well.
Just don't touch it unless it's 70F out. You'll either freeze to it or melt your skin. Otherwise it's great. Nice and solid and classy looking.
They will fit.
A 255 should fit on the front though.
I would go with a 17X10 +38 on the rear, it will fit better.
This is all with no rolling or modifying anything. You might have to adjust your steering stops though.
Yeah, it's really too bad Toyota didn't jump on fixing the head gasket problem right away in the 80's. I'm sure the car would have a better rep.
Either that or they should have replaced the 7M with the 1JZ in 89'. That would have helped just as much.
