"Good call on not driving after drinking could have been a completly different post.... but very nice kills! its always good to show muscle car guys what we got "
Yea drinking and driving is a disaster waiting to happen.
"I want my car done so bad...my threads will be so numerous.. "...
I agree about egr and the O2
A dead O2 I believe would cause a visible code.
I would check the converter for sure after verifying your ignition is up to par. I have seen those converters fail prematurely many times in the past on Supras.
I think its too risky to leave it off. I have not run one in years but maybe I am lucky since I don't really commute in it. I will either add it or get a JDM ecu.
Like most of you I getting really SICK of this damn car at times. Its been by far the most unreliable Toyota I ever owned. But when everything is right its a lot of fun and a real sleeper.
My car has a stock 7MGTE bottom end with ported head, honed manifolds,3" down pipe, hks piggybacks...
Tuning? I am throwing a code 52. I replaced my knock sensors with new ones, new rewire kit(despite my factory harness being new) and still getting the code. Last thing to swap is the ecu to see what is going on per factory manual.
I have read in the past the maps in the jdm ECU are...
I think my ecu is bad
I removed my egr a long time ago. I have all the HKS piggyback crap.
I read up on the egr thing and figured why not be safe at the same time since I might need a new ecu.
