The ground are always a source for trouble especially with the age of these cars. I like to cover the bases and will always check for broken ground wires to the coils, ignitor. Lacking of proper grounding on the engine itself (usually a direct connect to battery now a days).
Miami and Supra speccific. Dunno of any. I know Dynamic Turbo close to the airport (if they still exsist).
Orlando is a hike away but Titan IS a specialty Supra shop.
You already have the R154 + all the hardware (ie flywheel, clutch etc)?
What IJ. is alluding to is that at 160, the car will oerate in open loop and not get into the closed loop portion of the EFI and ignition maps.
It is one of those things best left answered by 3P and his rev-engineering project.
Why hasn't anyone mentioned custom valved Bilsteins?
I never undertstood the facination with adjusting dampening and rebound (with massive crosstalk until you get to the pro-coilovers from Penske etc) and all other parametners without even having a baseline shock dyno graph to show what it is...
LOL
You are AWARE that Saab nor Volve ever made a E85 car right? Perhaps there in the EU market yes but never in the US&A. No Saab ever had the flexfuel capability. So if some "genius" did infact run E85 in a system designed around gasoline. Of course it is going to blow! It would be running...
IBoughtASupra
In this instance, it is not about power handling as it breaks up with no load. This points to dwell settings or ignitor is lacking (bad ground, horrible power conncetion, dirty input signal etc).
To the op.
Dwell settings. I can not answer where that is in the AEM system. With...
Nah!
Facts are based on Chemistry, Math, toss in a bit of thermodynamics into the mix and blend. No need for "newspaper" or one car when Ford and GM already did all the hard work. Throw in some blackstone laboratory oil analysis of E85 imapact on both conventional and Synthetic and you have a...
breaking up under load and no load at 5k RPM
ignitor is an aftermarket unit?
Autodwell limiting control built into the ignitor? What are your dwell settings?
In short, sounds like not enough dwell time to charge the coils in the amount of time needed at that RPM.
actually they do.
Perhaps a qualifier would be that only applies to the US. EU and other areas have there own mandates.
as for E85 factory breakdown. What did I tell you about facts not heresay? Science not beliefs. Careful, 2nd hand information of questionable accuracy presented as...
Holy crap!
I go away for one year and this is what happens?!?!?!?
Lets get all this ironed out quickly.
1. Ethanol will have less energy per same unit of volume measurement than gasoline. This is very true! Unfortunatly a person does not tune to gallon, liter etc. They tune to lambda (not...
awww man.
I was about to say that this information was posted by me about 4 years ago since the Tec3 era. lol.
I see the forum has changed somewhat.
edit: found it!
back in 2008!

If you are going to sink 2500 for coilovers like KW
Look at Penske and get it valved correctly.
the adjustability is as useful as a case of hemeroids. You have the adjustability but unless you can GRAPH every single setting, you might as well not even bother. The other questions is are wat...
Well
the software is actually part of the SDL/SDL3 software which requires any of those two dashes. $2k investment
With the ACL/ADL3, it is even better but that is an 8K investment.
You can run it off the ECU's but it is so gimped that it is not worth it.
The TD06 is a good turbo but for the money of a new Greddy Kit, other alternatives can be had.
$200 is a good deal as long as the turbo does not have to be rebuilt.
