So while waiting on getting all my parts together for my big build I recently bought a greddy td06 turbo to put on the current motor in the car. I searched and found a little info but I was wondering is this turbo better then a upgraded ct26? And what can I compare it to as far as a upgraded ct? Keep in mind I payed 200 bucks for it and it came with the elbow, the manifold adapter plate, and oil lines down side is it needs new seals do to kinked oil line so I will also need to have the lower oil line replaced. So good deal or no?

I am running the TD06 and it's been a good mid-tier turbo upgrade for me; I've had mine since 1996. I am at 5k feet now and get between 15-17 lbs of boost on average. This turbo will do you well for ~400rwhp; depending on your elevation. If the turbo is in good shape, it's worth $200 ;-)

The TD06 is a good turbo but for the money of a new Greddy Kit, other alternatives can be had.

$200 is a good deal as long as the turbo does not have to be rebuilt.

May I ask how and who made your return oil line for your set up? That's what I'm having a problem with.

Would you consider other turbos that are bolt on and will get that power level? I don't have one, but the JT series looks good. From what I have read here from owners. My Boss Jr will do it, but it isn't being made anymore. Then you don't have to worry about oil and coolant lines.

I already have this turbo. My next big move as far as a turbo will be a holist x35. The tdo6 will be fine for just my dd.
