    tail light failure box

Well I know they are different because the 87 models have a bright yellow color and the 90 models have a tanish color. Plus the different years have the change in the wing light. I believe the 90 is LED. Anyway Im pretty sure that if I put the 90 box in the 87 that the tail light failure light...

    tail light failure box

Can a tail light failure box from a 90 turbo be used in a 87 turbo without it burning it up? I've narrowed it down to the box in my 87, but I would like to check it with a good box just to be sure. I have a 90 but I do not want to use it if it will burn it up obviously. Thanks, John

    Lm-1 install question

The yellow wire coming on the igniter shows 12v so I used it. When I plug in the wide ban it still flashes between warming up and low voltage! When I check it the plug it shows 12v though. What am I doing wrong?

    Lm-1 install question

Okay, my cig lighter adapter isnt working at all. It says low voltage warning and blinks while it is trying to warm up but never can. Can someone point me in the right direction for the 12v source?

    Lm-1 install question

I want to install the lm-1 permanently so I don't have to use the cig lighter. I also have the maft pro so I'd rather not have that hooked up with something going to the cig. Do I cut off the cig lighter adapter, and run the red wire to 12v and the black to ground? If this is right, I still need...

electric fan wiring caught on fire

thanks for the information, I understand it more now. I will redo the wiring a little neater now that Im not rushed to get out of work. I'll start looking for a different type of fuse holder also. Hopefully it doesnt happen again, but I feel better knowing what caused it. I've been thinking...

electric fan wiring caught on fire

okay thanks jj. I had a feeling it was the relay causing the problems. where would be a good place to get one? Obviously places like advance auto and pep boys arent the place to go because this is all they had. Would running one 12 or 10 gauge wire from the battery to the control box be safer...

electric fan wiring caught on fire

okay the fuse was right next to the battery before, and it is the problem I think. When I opened the hood the fans were still going which means the fuse didnt blow, but the fuse holder (the black part) was cherry red and smoking. The wiring started to burn but it was never red or anything, just...

electric fan wiring caught on fire

Well this happened at work so I had to rewire it so I could make it home. Its wired the same way before except I had the relay on the battery side, with the blue wire connected on the other side of the relay. If you look at the battery near the black wire you can see where the wire was so hot it...

electric fan wiring caught on fire

No I have an inline fuse relay in the wiring between the battery and the electric fan control box. I believe 30 amp was what the fan called for, but I will double check. I will try to get pictures up tomorrow.

electric fan wiring caught on fire

I have dual flex a lite fans wired with the control box. The other day the wiring that goes from the battery to the control port B caught on fire. I have it wired with 12 gauge wiring running through a 30fuse and then into the control box. When I opened the hood the fuse was not blown, but the...
