Can a tail light failure box from a 90 turbo be used in a 87 turbo without it burning it up? I've narrowed it down to the box in my 87, but I would like to check it with a good box just to be sure. I have a 90 but I do not want to use it if it will burn it up obviously.
Thanks,
John

Well I know they are different because the 87 models have a bright yellow color and the 90 models have a tanish color. Plus the different years have the change in the wing light. I believe the 90 is LED. Anyway Im pretty sure that if I put the 90 box in the 87 that the tail light failure light will be on but I was hoping the tail lights would still work which would give me the answer I need. I just want to make sure that turning the warning light on is all that would happen and not burn up the box.

I had an 87 module in my 91 turbo and it didn't work. Once I put the cream colored module in, it worked. I think it is calibrated differently for the 3rd brake light so it wouldn't work for an 87.
