Here is the Power Steering setup Its just so much cleaner this way. The canister will get painted eventually or maybe even pordercoated I have to see if they can do it without getting crap on the inside.
Ok Here is some more pictures... Got the interior gutted and cleaned up the wiring. Getting the AEM, MSD, and Injector drivers wired in. All the wiring is done without sodering I have been sourcing terminals for weeks now ... It really is much nicer. I have been using high quality TXL Automotive...
Wellits been a while and havent had updates but its all getting closer... Here is a pic of the cad for the bell-housing I also have dimentional drawings but I cant post those... sorry...
Id love to but the car will be down for upgrades for few mounts...
T56-Magnum trans, Cams, M&W ignition... Possibly Battery relocation and some suspension upgrades.
Absolutely... I have talked to few people that do lots of transmissions. Including Liberty's gears whos oner is close frinds with Tym. The have also inspected the units that have failed for me and in their opinion it is not so much the trust washer and back lash as it is lack of lubrication and...
Look dude... how can you bash on the rebuilds when you haven't even seen what happen. Humm Interesting if it was all tolerances how is it that ALL the BIG MK3 guys are using automatics in the drag cars and everyone with any worth of a drag tire and hard launch is breaking them (cars over...
Dude who cares... he lost. kudos on for the Neon owner. Obviously he put more money in his car...
That being sad. I did kill moded SRT-4 here in cleveland... with 1jz so i guess we are even.
Its not the car you drive it now much money and time you put in it. MONEY=FAST!!! that is all...
TOYOTA and DriftMotion... about $400-600 depending on what you need..
I like to put new second gear and 1/2 hub sleeve. It makes it juch crisper when shifting in 2nd...
Just buy a kit and do it your self... Even if you get the tools that you need it would still be less than new transmission. it is realy not that hard... Unless you see wear marking on hte parts reuse them. You dont have to blueprint it. I have done so many of these things I can do it by feel...
What trow-out bearing is this... and what clutch are you using?
See if you can mock it up in the tunnel and see what the clearance issues would be. From what mesurments I have it should be ok.
Yeah I know what you are saying... Just hold on on the trans for few more weeks. I want to see when Tremec will be releasing the ford hydro unit... It would make it easyer to fit larger variety of clutches. I need specs on the input shaft but they are not yet released.
The bolt pattern really doesnt change much in what clutch could be ran the splines do... The longer the splines the ticker the clutch could be. ( obviously)
The cheaper QuarterMaster alternative would still be possible if that is what you wanted.
What we want is input shaft of 6.5 inches with...
Quick time has not started production yet on the bellhousing. So that could be changed at any time. They have ploted both paters (ford and chevy)
Tremec doenst have all the final specs on the new ford transmission. I dont know what the exact input shaft would look like and what the spline...
The tremecs I havent shopped around but i will probably get it from DDPerformance.
The clutch will be QuarterMaster 7.25" Dual Rally or Iron Triple. Depending on what one holds. Im hoping tremec will release the Ford trans with 6.5" imput shaft later on this year. I might get that one...and...
I like the 2.97 its perfect first through 4th. I wish it had the .80 5th and .64 6th. That would have gave slightly better torque in 5th gear and better acceleration in it. And i think the .5 6th is slightly too much...
I dont plan on going 200 MPH =) and I got a 3.5" driveshaft just for that reason. most Alu are 3" for our cars. and teh TR6060 would have a shorter shaft...
