i finally got my engine running right, but it idles really high. it idles at 2000 rpms. the set screw is loosened all the way for the throttle and when i adust the TPS down all the way it idles from 1400 to 2000 rpms. just up and down. when i pinch the hose to the ISC and it idles at like 1000...
OMG.... i just replaced the spark plugs and now it runs so freakin good. still a problem building boost, but i'm sure the wastegate is the culprit. the turbo is also a POS. can't wait till i get the one driftmotion has.

well, today i decided to go out and poke around again on some wires. i know that cylinders 1 and 6 are dead. so i look at the igniter to narrow it down some more and i discover that the wires going to the coils for 1 and 6 are crossed. see, my harness was cut so i had to wires up the igniter...

check all your power wires to the ECU. (IG, +B, +B1, M-REL... etc)
i had the problem where it would just crank and never start, found out one of the power wires were dead.
hell, i used a craftsman breaker bar and an impact socket. i used a 6 foot steel pipe for leverage. it worked the 2 times i had to do it. the breaker bar hasn't broken yet.
it will still run like normal. the ECU has complete control over the injectors. it's just drawing power from the resistor box when a signal is sent from the ECU. i'm using the 7MGTE resistor box with my setup. i've used it before on my previous 2jz/mk3 as well. or you can buy a 2jz resistor box...
man, I'm having the same problem as you with the piss ass idling and revving. hopefully you get the answers to fix your problem so i know where to look.
