Currently searching for a 2jzge and can't seem to find any other than attarco (and a few expensive eBay adds) but the only reviews I've seen for attarco have been bad.
Does anyone have a good opinion on them? Or a better place to find a 2jzge?
Oh well that's basically what I was wanting to know, I've read all about the swap but it was sounding like there may be some differences in this 2j. He said it's easier because it has a clutch fan and that threw me off cause I didn't know the other 2j's came with anything else.
Mattsplat got it right I think. As long as he's the question asking type he's clearly tryin to learn a bit....and he's gotta have some taste, he did ask to join you instead of lookin for some riced out beer cans.

Searching for a motor I found a eBay add for a 2j that came out of a soarer, would I need to swap the oil pan on it? I looked around and saw discussions on using the usdm or spec gs and sc motors but didn't see anyone mention the soarer. Does anyone know what differences there would be?

Yea the 3200 on the oil was kind of an estimate and I didn't realize how far off it was until I just thought of it. It's probably closer to 4000 (as if it makes a difference) but what's odd is they didn't say for certain it was antifreeze. The car doesn't smoke at idle, accel, or decel...at...
got my oil report back yesterday...not exactly what i was hoping to see from a 30,000 mile motor.....
where could i be leaking antifreeze into the oil? the only place i can think of...i dont wanna say :: no ::
At first I didn't like the "look" of it being clocked like that, but think of how much easier it is to put together/ take apart.

I'm installing an r154 which is missing its speed sensor (I'm not sure exactly but I think that's it, it's the sensor right above the tranny mount on drain side of the tranny) into my 87 which has no abs and therefore no sensor to swap to plug the gaping hole in my new transmission. Does anyone...
See I swore it wouldn't work backwards either.
But the clutch has MAYBE 3000 miles on it, 90% of the time I baby my car. I've launched it prolly twice, and havnt done much other than single gear pulls, I don't think I could've done that much damage unless something wasn't on right.
