I'm in Tampa and love it. It was difficult getting established since they don't want to pay. Some places do... Just a matter of what you do and if it's something that an employer is after. There is a lot of unemployment down here, but I have SEEN people land very good jobs after just a few days/...
Hi all,
I have a 87 turbo and I believe that the ecu went out on it as it is a reman'ed. My question is if there is anyone out there that would let me use theirs to test my theory. Car was running great until the other day and after doing wiring tests I have determined that the ecu is not...
Hi all,
Have a friend of mine that has a reman ECU for his 87 and it just shit the bed. Got another friend of mine's turbo 88 ECU and nothing matches... Obviously design differences between the two... Was wondering though if this would be a non-turbo ECU then.... The plugs are 4, 3 one right...
I have the Eibach springs on KYB gr-2s and I love them. I have stock suspension components other than that and I corner pretty damn well. I know that the more expensive ones would please me better but right now I don't have the money to invest.
Just go to a local driveshaft place and talk to them about making one for you. All you need is the splined end and the rear piece that bolts to the diff. Then you give them the measurement between the two and they make one for you. I can get one made here in Tampa for 200. That's the better way...
Did you happen to check the thermostat? Start the engine and feel both hoses, if one is hot to the touch and the other is not luke warm while the temp. is climbing then it is more than most likely the thermostat. Also like Tissimo said do a block test. The kit is around 60 bucks from NAPA and...
No power to the fuel pump.... do you basic first step to electrical: Check fuses, relays, double check your connections if something was just replaced, make sure the pump actually works. If all this checks out THEN repost.
Mine run around 13-15 with a 3" turbo back exhaust and 2.75" intercooler piping and a huge front mount (probably more than I need but whatever) intercooler. I have heard of some running 18 psi consistently and others that crap out at 15-17. Pretty much if he wants to raise his boost he needs to...
Mine almost did the same thing. I had bad caps. Since the ECU is batch fire can you tell us which cylinders were full of fuel? More than most likely if they are in the same batch fire you have a cap issue within the ECU. Just take apart your ECU and look at the caps on the injector circuits.
Smell the ecu. If it smells like burnt electronics something is probably fried. Take the screws out and follow the circuits, front and back, and check for burnt circuits.
Your local alignment shop should have the specs in their machine. You could go and request a set of factory spec printouts and they should be able to do that for you.
Check for fuel pressure when it won't start. You may have an intermittent fuel pump issue as well as a starter issue. Maybe get your battery/ charging system checked to be sure that you have no problems with that system. Also what do you have as far as fuel pressure regulator? stock/...
I would have it put on a frame machine and have them check to see if the body is twisted. If the vehicle in question has been in any type of accident it is possible that the unibody structure can be tweaked and cause a pull no matter how you set the alignment.
Also, I would, as someone else...
I have them with eibach springs and they ride great. better than stock, TEMS, but if I could do it over I would have used Bilstiens. If all you are doing is daily driving and a little screwing around these will be sufficient
