Sold my 1JZ yesterday - STOP: bimmertime

Sweet! Glad to hear you're still loving it. :) I need to replace my knock sensors. My car is down on power (I'm thinking that's why, if they're designed the same way the Supra's are) So slow, infact, that a lightly modded vr6 kept up with me this morning. :( Anger, I tell you, anger!

It's not that I don't like it, it's just the fact that it's not built as well as the Supra. I thoroughly enjoy working on the car, and even more, driving it. If I didn't like either, I'd sell it immediately. LOL. I never had much trouble with the Supra, so I can't relate to you there. It was a...

    No electrical power anywere.

If I recall correctly, the fusible link in Will's car is nearly brand new, so unless he shorted something out, that's not the problem. What was it?

    leaking gas tank

If you can reach it. Whichever works for you, as long as you get 'em all pulled before you drop the tank. (and disconnect the wiring from the hatch access panel)

    leaking gas tank

Yeah, I wouldn't do any welding on the tank, or soldering, or anything unless the tank was removed, emptied, and pumped full of CO2 so you don't blow yourself up. Didn't you just do the fuel pump? So you had to drop the tank once already, the second time should be a snap! I dropped my tank two...

    Seafoam. Ugh. :nono:

Sold my 1JZ yesterday - STOP: bimmertime

It most likely is. Bad RTABs will kill your rear tires with a quickness. Also, take a look at that alignment guide I linked to above, that'll keep your rear tires lasting longer too! Stock BMW alignment sucks!

Oh, it's definitely getting turbocharged. There's no doubt. gt35r FTW! End goal is 400rwhp on pump gas with a conservative tune.

LOL, thanks dude! It definitely is a pain in the ass, but when I'm ripping down a deserted back road, it's totally worth it! I've got most of the bugs worked out for sure. When they're ALL worked out (and all bushings have been replaced, hopefully this winter's job)- I'll be turbocharging it. :)...

New camber bolts ... one I removed is different?

Not unless you drill out the spot welds and re-weld "new" ones on. (By "new" I mean from someone's part car or something) It would be blatantly obvious if someone already replaced them. And even if they're bent over, a small hammer and some time with a relatively dull chisel can right them...

I'll get pics of coils and exhaust vids very soon. :) As for build quality: 1) the aforementioned rear trailing arm bushing pocket mount ripping out. 2) The differential mounting setup (three bolts, front one always snaps) 3) Rear shock towers rip themselves apart without proper reinforcement...

Well, I'll try very hard to avoid those scenarios for the future! I've actually had my cloths catch fire before. That was a wakeup call! I'll pass on the slag in the ankles, too, thanks. Hey, at least you know your IC is efficient, eh!? That's probably a cool lookin' scar, too!

Ew! LOL! I can surely say that I hope I never experience that! For real! Now I've got to locate that knocking sound in the rear end. I can't pinpoint it! (was there before coilover install and bushings)
