is such a tool made, or is it a case of just taking the head to a machine shop with EDM capabilities?

methyl hydrate is gasline antifreeze. it acts to lower the freezing point of the water within the line/tank.
The problem with diesels is not that the fuel "freezes" per se, but certain components within the fuel turn...

so...has anybody actually strain gauged a strut bar to get a "real world" idea of what is going on? It is easy to base things on theory, but actual proof is nice.

I'd say go bum around some mountain towns in BC or AB (banff/jasper/etc)...they're always looking for people for outdoors jobs if thats your thing. Unless you want to be bored to tears, avoid mangina.
I'm thinking the turbo won't be around for long once I get the car running, so I'm not doing anything with it for now....I'm just going to put a heat shield on it.
edit...the battery is in backwards so the poles don't accidentally touch the wiring harness.
