The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Haha hope I get some stuff done today, my Gf's parents are moving into another house and they want me to hang up some blinds before they move the bigger things into place. So, I'm going to bust out 2-3 blinds right now and then work on the supra. Most likely actually get to working on it after...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Kenny, the first time I replaced the core, I didn't know about o-rings and didn't have another vehicle to drive to get another pair. I slid the old o-rings into place until 1/16" from the joint butt, put a couple wraps of teflon tape, fitted the core extensions and clipped, pressure tested to 20...

    7M-GTE Build 650hp+ needs advice

I'm in Cali, and it's cast and adapts to OEM very well. It's going to happen, maybe an install next year... But, OP wants build options to hit 650+hp, Daily. Does that mean this is a Hwy car or a stoplight runner? Gotta choose the right turbo for the situation, everything else falls into...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Okay, the last few days have been full of work, running around helping others, and tearing apart everything I own looking for my alarm installation manual. Its given me a chance to organize/discard all my paper work and consolidate most things supra related. I did get a small side project done...

    Engine covers

^^^ At least you came to look. Also, the heat shields of the exhaust area help save the paint on the hood. The engine undercover is supposed to help concentrate the cool air through the radiator, useful in hotter areas (ie Arizona)

3 Mishi Radiators in a year, all failed the same way; fan blade impact (anyone else?)

I've run my 7m and PWR with stock shroud couple years with no issue. I am using the original who knows how old 10 blade fan and TOYOTA clutch. The first shroud died with the pull of the fan, the upper inner lip of the shroud getting sucked between the fan and radiator. Installed a new shroud...

lol sure that'd be cool. My fronts are tucked in a bit much and I know spacers would do wonders to the appearance.... Yes I'll take you up on the offer when I get the spacers. New or not, if they need to be chamfered or whatever, I'll bring'em to ya, with some kick back for your time. I...

Sweet deal! Ironically, I bought a car I knew I had to work on so I would know how to work on cars lol May you receive years of reliability from your 'yota v8 :D ATM there's no way I'm in circumstances to comfortably say I can go to SILV and enjoy myself for this year's run. But next year I'll...

    CajunKenny's Build Thread

Poopy. The engine builder had to shave the rear timing plate bolt heads about half way. ~3mm remains. Must be a routine thing with adjustables, I've got Fidanzas from a gb years ago. Thank goodness you have the gear to take care of it, plus, isn't the joy of customizing cars the inside...

Alternator upgrade for high power stereo...

Thanks for that 3p. So I could install a filter at the ground point of the head unit to achieve this noise suppression? I have a shielded patch cables, the high end 4ch and a mid level 2ch by Monster brand, running the right side of the car, and power running the left. Can't remember if they...

Alternator upgrade for high power stereo...

I've relocated my battery to the rear right corner, in a battery box. 2 awg (american wire gauge) to the alternator, 2 awg to the rear shock tower, oem ground from block to front left shock tower. What exactly causes ground loop noise? You know, that annoying whine that gets louder/higher in...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Motivational: AC box. Temp sensor shoved in fins, drain at bottom left, hi/lo fittings sticking out NOTICE, I taped the fittings to keep dust out of the heat exchanger. A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT IS IMPORTANT FOR TROUBLE FREE OPERATION OF THE AC IN THE FUTURE Flat head used to removed clips. 4...
