    just joined the 1uz club

you coulda made money on scrap metal, doh! and props on a good chassis, a good deal is always welcome ;) as for the 'used 7m', that seems redundant when everything about my 7m is new. Or is this about a used 7m your getting away from? I feel option 2 is more likely since I'm unclear on...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Pics tomorrow. Accomplished today: 2 hrs of job related work painted the eyesore, tapped and installed (wastegate reference line comes off it for now, boost solenoid intermediate later) ghetto rigged 4" turbo intake to use AFM for break in. had fun and fiddled longer to put filter in bumper area...

Did you check the stretch of your rod bolts? The threads need a few installs to ease up for accurate torque value lolz Read the very last 4 sentences on this page: http://arp-bolts.com/pages/technical_installation.shtml I'm just teasin, a bit jealous you don't have to break in your upgraded...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Hmm I've never taken a hard MPG number for myself. How do you drive, and what RPM range do you normally use? Miles per tank? 4.2l must be fun! Thanks

    Reverse Lights & Lubrication

powdered graphite is the lubricant for most locks. maybe pulling the door panel and checking all the locking hardware for sticky mechanisms would be a help too, if lubing the lock barrel isn't enough. At first I thought you had lots of key play, but sounds like your rotating it a bunch to work...

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

Thought so... okay lol Yup those camber bolts are tough. My car is dropped on HRs and I couldn't camber enough to get the wheels flat. I slotted the slots in the subframe about an 1/8" and though corner response isn't as quick, I'm not losing traction like I had been. I can't remember if I...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Yesterday and last night was radical, meaning lots of good, some bad, some scary. Went to help Suprastroker88 with moving. E250 has lots of space: Complete drive train, engine stand, cherry picker, all his tools, my tool box, misc parts from his old car, studio speakers, clothes ETC We...

Cool build! I don't understand the idea of concentrating the contact patch to the inside of the wheels...

T04R consuming oil, need help where to go from here..

Nice location for the coil packs :) I don't see a problem with the catch can setup, is it possible to open it and see how the baffles are done? The restrictor is a smart idea, how is it you've got such high start up pressure? The dump line looks adequate for its purpose, though how long...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Suruko- There will be more pics, I have an eyesore (part) that needs paint badly, then I'll have a 98% completed engine bay shot. Some wire loom, modifying the extra bracket off the PS reservoir, replacing some vacuum hoses, not much more to the engine bay. Supraspeed- The deal with the shop...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Thanks for dropping in SURUKO, it really is a lot of fun having a dream come to fruition!! Suprastroker88 came out a couple hours to help, you should see it now that the 3000 pipe is on top, it really is a center piece lol Today was attacking some of the wiring. First thing was feeding the...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Thanks supraguy for dropping in. Again, I welcome constructive criticism, such as the IC piping with tons of clamps looks shoddy and will be fixed in time. And question about details if I miss something. Pics: I mounted the IC. The green box to the upper right of the IC is the...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

last night i slipped the accusump into place after negotiating the wire harness and raising the front mount 1/4 inch. today i finished up the oil system. had to make a compromise with the last bits: -8 stuff after the accusump epc solenoid setup; i miscalculated my aeroquip parts. the...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Today's update, before I resume into the night and vacate to the GF's house: Yesterday was the A/C system. I've had this car since 05 and never really enjoyed the A/C, so i made a point of replacing all the o-rings with the green ones (lube them so they don't pinch with purpose made lube, or...

    quake's short build thread

Its awesome your putting much heart into doing this right, probably because you have no intentions of letting this car go so easily. 1) What is the benefit of the tranny rear solid mount? Is the engine on poly/solid mounts? 2) Oiling system? 3) To what purpose are you building your beast, a...

    Unleashing The Beast... (56K Beware!)

I've been keeping up with your build thread awhile, good to see some hands on head work. Its like your cooking up a recipe I've never had before with the level of head work your doing. I can't wait to see how it turns out!!

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Extra notes: ACL bearings, 6m crank, appears the shop got a different crank than have mine sent out for machining since the bearings say STD. Plastigauge at the mains and connecting rods revealed looser than .025 mm but tighter than .038, so the shop probably did do .030. Thrust was damn...
