Following up on this, the IS300 guys actually swap A70 clutch-LSD's into them now as well, and I've looked into other information as well, and it all seems good for this setup. I think people have actually done it a few times now as well.
I am planning on perhaps doing something strange (A70 T1...
Does anyone have information or pictures of the differences between the clutch LSD axle stubs and the T1 Torsen axle stubs?
I'd like to know which are longer/shorter, where the C-clip sits, etc.
Anyone?

Don't get me wrong, there are still times when there are quite a few people in there, just seemed significantly busier in the summer. It's cold now, everyone should be inside browsing SM, haha.

Not but 3-4 months ago, it was booming. We would regularly have 12-15 people in there, it was the happening place to be for sure. I could go in there literally ANY time, and there would be someone to talk about something with. I'd be in there on Saturday mornings at work when there was nothing...
If you order one they have in the pool of available cars at the port, about 2 weeks.
If you place an order with the factory in Japan, 4-6 months.
They had a black 6MT in Vancouver, so I was told it should be here next week sometime, but I don't really know exactly when.
Jeff
Indeed. Wish I knew when I was getting it though, haha. I stopped by Lexus last night and looked at another black model with 17's. Looked good, haha.

The one thing people need to realize is there is quite a bit of a difference between having a power steering setup that is not working, and having a manual steering setup. The difference in effort required between the two setups is quite a bit. Driving with a broken power steering setup or even...
I do know what you are talking about, that would be quite lolz-worthy. I've never done it (don't drive forklifts enough, I guess), but I could see it happening.
Jeff
Yeah I end up playing with the shifter, shifting it down and up, in and out of sequential, doing stuff at lights, blah blah. Haha, just doesn't suit me I guess.

The Supra is heavy. Power steering is good. It can be done with a properly depowered rack or a manual rack from another car, but I'd still rather have power steering in a Supra.
For my AE86? Manual steering, but it weighs half a car less.
Jeff
IS350 only comes with an auto transmission. While it is quite a bit faster, and that's obviously very nice, I'd rather have a manual transmission. The price difference doesn't hurt either, haha. But even if I was getting a used one, I'd have to get the manual, I dunno I just really need to be...
Ordered myself a black on black 2011 Lexus IS250 6MT. Should arrive in town in a couple of weeks, I'm quite excited.
Goodbye XRS, farewell sweet prince.
