you could easily just push on the hose. You still have a lot of room to work with. Same thing happened to mine but was worse because I broke off more of the tip than you, I have no problems with the vacuum hose coming loose. It stays on fine. Won't hurt to try.
Ive had this clunk on three different chassis now (mint condition with 168K, crappy one with 85K and current cherry at 80K) and 3 different rear ends and 2 different transmission and 2 different driveshafts. I've always figured it to be the diffs as they are not very tight in any supra i've...
They are well aware of the issue. Production date for the prototype is in about a week, it got pushed off about a month previously. More than likely I will have the prototype or one of the first available models to play with so when that happens I will test the results so stay tuned. There is 0...
At first I was disgusted (I still am) but this just made me laugh because of how twisted it really is: "We all love nibbling on biscuits. I once bought some pears, but they tasted funny." Funny as in healthy maybe? Not fat, salt and preservative ridden? This family defines a major thing wrong...
I happen to thoroughly enjoy the rice whistle! lol. I can't tell you how many people ive scared the living shit out of (mostly girls), its extremely entertaining. But yes, it should be recir'd unless you have an aftermarket setup like MAFT or standalone or vein pressure
The problem is grim that everyone thinks, oh my boost isn't tailing off and its giving me a loud noise when I shift so it MUST be working. The HKS has problems all around, i just want it to be either proven (like with my 3 samples) or disproven, no one will take the time to test anything. Its...
could be a combination of problems, could be that you're leak onto something hot in the engine bay while the smoke coming from your exhaust is a poor valve seal. A lot of times with bad turbo seals blue smoke is quite visible and often.
Ahh, that explains it. I read it incorrectly. Actually there was a version of the ct series turbo with a 2 port system, though I believe it opened as one.
Edit: ahh here it is ct20b
that goes against logic though for a flapper that's too small? Since pressure is a factor of area, why would a larger flapper be more difficult to be blown off?
Not sure on the size comparison but the stock ct26 WG, couldn't that be modified and used instead of these really crappy ones you guys are complaining about?
You don't neeed one, you have a stock BPV (bypass valve). As long as its functioning correctly, you're fine for now. A good BOV setup my prevent compressor surge though if your BPV can't flow enough for the 57 trim.
My boost stays constant too, like i mentioned before, your EBC will just make your turbo work harder to maintain the boost. I am aware of going, with a different brand, but its not all that simple or cheap with my setup. The real point here is to inform people of HKS ssqv and its failures. Maybe...
^How do you know....did you stick your hand in front of the pistons seal while you were driving under full boost? Doubt it. I would bet 20 bucks (if i had it) you could pull that hks off and literally blow through it. What a great quality seal it isn't.
It astonishes me how so few people are...
