    yeah, thats why Maxx autoworks put a 90* elbow between the 2 flanges to raise the exhaust housing out of the way of the shock tower... which is why mine isnt an $80 cast iron sandwich adaptor... its actually Meant to work on the Supra.

    justin has a good point; 2j is best of both worlds. 1jz reliability, economy, foolproofness with 7M torque, useable power band and manly-er sound. and that 4000-5000 figure for a 1jz swap is IF You do your own work. i know a guy whos coming to me for help after 4 years and $10,000...

    head milling, pressure check and hot tanking is $90 for me around here. block milling, cleaning was $120. pull the engine harness out of the fire wall instead of leaving it in the car. much less hassle. dont forget the ground cable on the side of the block. a load leveler works WONDERS...

    there are plenty of people with 200k+ miles on their 2jz's, with turbos. just as many out there w/ the non turbo 2j's. im not sure if the 1j's get used enough to get that many miles. they dont drive as much in japan so a high mileage 1jz isnt nearly as common as high mileage 2j's. we already...

    check to make sure the starter solenoid wire is still plugged into it. also, check to make sure that you have the small blue wire connected to the battery that runs up under the fuse box.

    lol, yeah, ok so it was easy. how bout this: 1. made 540rwhp on 550's and cheated with Meth on a Boss550 2. used to have a V6 camaro on spray 3. works on Mercedes' for a living now
