What date did the 89 become the 89.5?

Oh yeah, I've got an account for Toyota and Lexus TechDoc, the overseas manuals are crazy. Too many regions in one manual for sure, it can be quite confusing to know exactly what you're looking for. Jeff

What date did the 89 become the 89.5?

There are actually some mistakes in various manuals sometimes. Toyota occasionally releases corrections, sometimes they don't. I've noted a number of errors in various manuals (not just for the Supra) over the years. There is the possibility the "89" diagrams you had wouldn't have matched any...

What date did the 89 become the 89.5?

GA70, MA70 and JZA70 all appear to have ended at the end of December, 1992. You are correct about production of the JZA80 starting in May, 1993. Jeff

    when buying carbon fiber parts...?

Outside of Japan, everything was widebody. Inside Japan, some GA70's came either narrow or widebody, most MA70's were widebody but some were narrow, all JZA70's are widebody. It depends on year and model and some other stuff. Pre-89's were largely narrowbody in Japan. Jeff
