FWIW, the receptacle side of the harness does not have pins, it has posts that would normally be soldered to the PCB. On the plug side, the pins run around 0.15 each wholesale (not 0.50). The connectors are also dirt cheap...there is a decent margin on these harnesses and I suppose that is why...
well, luckily i actually have an 87-88 harness as well...you want the bare plugs or plugs with wires attached? PM me...
be prepared for a lot of soldering if you want to attach wires to the ecu-side of the plug...
how long of an extension are you looking for?
autosport makes an extension which is approx. 6" long.

while the connectors for 89+ are made by AMP/tyco, they can be difficult to source. I've got a set of harness-to-ecu plugs if you...
are the pistons actually protruding from the calipers?
If they are, and it is too difficult to use your fingers, using pieces of wood to wedge them back would be you best option to minimize any damage to the piston/caliper.
mine were a tight fit, but I was able to get them in without issue.
verify the operation of the egr system as per the TSRM. IIRC the vac actuator will leak boost during a test with the car off (mine did)

no worries, misinterpreted a comment from the other thread i guess.
my comment in the other thread was based on the fact that I sandblasted the shit out of the lines, and didn't blast through a plated or coated layer (if there was electroless nickel or zinc, i'm fairly certain I would have...
the only real difference I noticed was the pulley size, though i cannot remember which was bigger.
I swapped pullies and I'm currently using a non-pps pump on my pps car.
Thats because not everybody knows that the terminals are easily available for cheap...had I not come across the easternbeaver site, $1/terminal woudl have seemed like a good deal compared to what toyota wants for a pre-crimped terminal/leadwire
yeah, my advice is to do it that way.
I extended mine using the toyota pre-crimped wire leads (before discovering a source for the sumitomo terminals) and ended up spending nearly $50 more than I had to. (I think the pre-crimped leads were ~$20 each!)
there are certain plugs which do not use the sumitomo MT-style 090 pins including many of the temp sensors, the O2 sensor, oil pressure, AFM and TPS (last two not 100% though). I haven't looked into these plugs so I have no idea what style terminals they use. As far as de-pinning goes, a...
