Heh, somewhere. I haven't ran that setup in a long time, not to mention that I swapped to a FFIM and pulled the car off the road about five years ago. If you search my posts you might be able to find it. I'll do some poking around for pics, but I don't have long to look right now.
Edit: from...
1971 Chevrolet c-10 Stepside. I still regret selling that truck, although it needed a ton of work. Bought it for $300 when I was 15, put it back together (the P.O. had it all taken apart) using a Haynes manual for a guide and a basic Craftsman tool set. Sold it only a few years ago because it...
It will hold just fine, so long as you have a proper tune. It'll also be a monster at low RPM, which is one of the benefits of a higher compression turbo car. :) Tuning is key. Screw up the tune, and you'll melt it down in no time.
The code 24 is most definitely due to the wiring at your MAFt unit. Double check everything there to verify that it is set up properly.
The "Subaru" sound you hear is due to the code 52. When code 52 is set, it will retard the timing a max of 10°, which will make the car sound terrible, and...
For future reference, check the TSRM for what the error codes mean, it will make finding the actual problem a breeze: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx
We will start with the code 24.
The intake air temperature sensor is in the AFM. Check the connection at the...
Why buy anything? I used a JDM TB on my car for several years with nearly no modifications, stock bellcrank and all. You don't need a pretty, shiny blue wheel to make it work, just a N/A throttle cable.
Well that's a load of poop!
Congrats, Jeff, the car looks absolutely fantastic!
Edit: You are 2,437 miles from me. I suppose I'll take a rain check, or an e-hug.
The original Falken Azenis 615 gets greasy as it gets hot. Still a fun tire, can get scary in rain though. The new version should be pretty badass from what I hear.
And although they're not available in 275's for a 17" rim, consider Dunlop Direzza z1 Star Specs. I've got them on my M3 (255's...
Not the route I'd have taken, but I suppose it does the job. I try to steer clear of all fittings with sharp 90° bends. Smooth radius bends are what you want.
I'm opening a new bank acct with only a little bit of money in it specifically for use with PayPal. I don't feel comfortable keeping my main bank account linked to my PP account, so I recently removed it.
Thick skin required for use of internet. Who cares what others say? It's just an opinion dude, don't get all bent out of shape. If you keep the car, restore it properly.
Nice. I'm more of a "pick a good path" than "smash the truck 'til it gets up" type of driver anyway. I don't think I have a need for 4.7 gears so I was also considering dual stockers. I almost had an extra t-case for $30 a few days ago but the deal fell through. I'm still on 4:10 gears, which is...
