I also decided to add a couple features to the car as well. The digidash display has 3 indicators on it that were designed for the auto trans. These are ECON, PWR, and MANU. you can see them above the PRND2L area on the main display:
I really thought the POWER icon would be sweet...
So a small update here. I really don't like the crappy steering wheel that my 87 had stock.I bought an 89 supra steering wheel on ebay for cheap and noticed the connector on the back isn't the same. However, now that my digital dash is installed, cruise control started working perfectly. I...
Well, a small update to keep this thread up where people might notice. I think my wife has begrudgingly accepted the fact that my car isn't going to be sold before we leave for Texas. She isn't too happy about it; she wants it sold so we have less stuff to move and more money to go on vacations...
Thank you, it is still a work in progress. I was able to interface it with my HKS EVC1 so it displays what boost setting I have as well. I can probably do a write-up on that if you guys want as well.

It is funny that they didn't. Probably had something to do with health and safety BS. I have developed this irrational hatred towards you guys with your awesome cars that you can get now. We still have to wait 10 more years to get the R34 and such. Grumble Grumble...
I'm with Villy on this one. I mean, my car isn't slammed but you are making it sound like I need to be driving my Tundra on this, not my Supra.

I found out why my engine wasn't boosting well...
For those who can't see it, the bolt holding the wastegate actuator to the turbo backed out and fell off, preventing the wastegate from shutting all the way. Thank God it wasn't something more important. Now I might be able to boost to 20 again!
Scottie, we were working in something like that in the PacNW section. It was something along the lines of jdmfreak's signature.

So now everything is working great but I can't leave well enough alone. Living in the US and being stuck with gauges that read in KPH is a bit of an inconvenience. Well, this past week I rectified the situation. First, I used the instructions found here and lit up the correct legends. Now, that...
Well, I'm not going to be able to do the bridge of the gods meet. I might be able to do the one in Monroe though. I'm on call this weekend so I can't be too far away. The Oregon border is quite far south... We are all too far away from each other!

Well, I know some of the PacNW people were working on designing shirts but other stuff kinda got in the way. Plus, the winter is usually when we spend lots of time and money on fixing the various stuff that broke on our cars during the summertime. I imagine once the weather really starts to get...
I just finished the kmh to mph conversion on my digital dash. I had to cut and solder a couple traces for the display and then I removed the stock 20 tooth slotted wheel and (crudely) made my own 12-slot wheel so I would have the correct speed displayed. This is what it looks like compared to...
I agree with that. Pretty much every modification involved (including the dash) can be undone and put back to stock. When I got my car, someone had ripped out the a/c, there was no exhaust, and there was no fan (just the clutch). I take comfort in the fact that if I sell the car, someone can...
I too am interested in this drive. It is significantly closer to me and hopefully my car won't be a punk bitch this time. The Golden Cardens meet kinda sucked and the fact that it was raining inside the car (mostly just on my wife's right leg) only made it worse. Fights are still erupting from...
Hey Raf, the power wires for the gauge cluster are the same color so I put a knot in the positive wire. Just so you don't connect it backwards and fry the power supply. That would be bad.

Yesterday, Derek (suprasick) and I attempted to go to the Golden Gardens meet. Unfortunately that meet was a madhouse that was plagued with morons in Hondas and diesel trucks burning rubber so we just turned around and went to The Rock for some pizza. Oh well...
It is a cheap mod really. I think I paid $7 shipped for the bluetooth module. The baud rate is set from the factory to 9600, so it would work great for MS1, but it needs to be changed in hyperterminal to 115200 baud rate for MS2/MS3. I installed it in MS1 when I built a turbo Samurai for my...
