say what? why would a 7M be harder to build than any other engine? Just do everything properly, make sure its clean and measure everything. Take your time, don't try to put it together in a hurry. I think the 7M is a great engine, just build it right and it can take whatever you throw at it...

don't know if you guys have heard of Vems, its like a upgraded megasquirt (doesn't share any components with MS but you tune Vems using Megatune as well), its a stand alone that has input for knock sensors, Exhaust Temp, launch control, Anti Lag System, Flatshift/shiftcut, RPM and TPS regulated...

that's strange, a guy in here in Sweden had a similar problem just a couple of weeks ago, and now you, and I had never heard of it before either. This is the result... I don't think he had as much wear as you so he just replaced the shaft

there's two guys here in sweden that have fitted individual throttle bodies from a BMW M5 on their 7M, there going turbo though but it would be cool to try it without the plenum :icon_bigg

I love the sound from the 7M, i've built a 3" system with 2 full flow mufflers, you hear that its no whimpy little 4 cyl (: Step on the pedal and the engine sounds like it gonna eat the cars around, you hear the turbo spool and know its about to kick you back, and then the gate opens and all...

copper plugs is recommended to change every 5-6000 miles or something so don't worry about that, they are much cheaper, gap them to 0,8mm
