the head was rebuilt when the headgasket was replaced it was machined as well i dont understand why it blew, i suspect my mechanic re used the stock headbolts instead of buying arp's :/

ok so it wasnt a bhg o.0 it was the strut bar that was too tight and when i was accelerating it pressed on the hose on top and caused coolant to shoot out and fall into the spark plugs. dried out the spark plugs and everything is ok did a compression test and everything has been ok no loss in coolant nothing :)

Well long time since i updated, few weeks ago i noticed my upper radiator hose was like sucked up i took the cap off and noticed the radiator wasnt topped off, had to add about 3 cups of antifreeze i thought everything was okay until i noticed the upper hose wasnt holding pressure very well. I had the cooling system pressure tested and there is a leak my guess is it has a BHG again... changed the thermostat, new fan clutch, even found speaker pods off a 92 and hatch seal from a 92 in mint condition, i tried to get the arms that the sway bar connects to but they were rusted and nothing got them out, i need them because the previous owner cut the original end links off and welded a different one on that ended up just breaking and one of the arms is bent so im still looking for those.

Also in a previous post, i was wondering what some wire was and i found out while trying to wire the reverse light it was for the o2 sensor i believe, but wouldnt running without an o2 sensor throw a code?

As for the BHG, or suspected BHG im going to stop driving the car until i either figure out if im going to try to fix the headgasket again or save up and put in a gte. I checked the oil cap no milky goo no smoke from exhaust and no misfire, but what had me worried was one day i took the cap off and there was a little bit of steam coming out.

i havent done a compression test yet, but i read that a car can have good compression and still have a blown gasket? i was planning on doing the test to see if there is combustion gases in the cooling system?

updatessss

finally got new arms to swap, the right side was cake finished in a few mins then we moved onto the left side which had the bent arm. The bolt was siezed and would not budge, ended up cutting it. Now the end links are finally hooked up to the suspension technique sway bar, at first i wasnt sure if it was real but after comparing it to a stock sway bar it was much thicker and stronger, it really made a big difference.
Now i need new rear tires hopefully with this i can now bring the alignment back to spec so i will not kill the new rubber, also does anyone have good places to shop for new tires?

well i havent updated this in forever.

I bought some oem springs from a member on here, the rears are switched out going to do the same with the fronts. (rocking that 4x4 status)
I bought 89 tails from jmcboost came out nice :D
I also removed my rear strut bar and traded it for a full set of 89+ side molding with many extra pieces they are in rough shape, but i plan on sanding them down and painting them.

Last on my want list is the 3 piece spoiler <3 hopefully someone will hook me up with a good deal for my birthday which is going to be the 11th of Dec :D
And im still on the hunt for mk tt rims, ive been trying to sell my rims with no luck :/

Updates, but no pics....yet this weekend :p. Ive been really interested in swapping out my 7mge and dropping in a 2jzge, and keeping it n/a for now. Some local is selling an mkiv 2jzge, with a harness thats missing some plugs. He will throw in w58 bell housing and some other things he wants to get rid of, and his asking price was 350, but said if i really wanted the stuff just make him an offer. I saw this as a way better deal than trying to drop an 7mgte. Although it wont have any boost, it will have the potential :]. Im going to check this out this weekend. Anyone have any tips? I was thinking possibly doing a leakdown test, and maybe a compression...although i have never done any of those before, any other tips to check if an engine is okay?

Also i had a clutch question... if i have the 7mge with the r154 what clutch would i need? A clutch for a 7mgte or a 7mge? And would a clutch that is on its way out make it hard to shift? I remember almost 9 months ago my tranny wouldnt go into gear, my mechanic said my clutch was broken or something was and he fixed it but said i would need a new one as this fix will only last maybe a month its been almost year now..(didnt charge me ofcourse)

could be the clutch master cylinder that's going out..

the clutch depends on the tranny, not the engine, but you will need a 2JZ flywheel...

you'll also need a 1JZ R154 bell-housing, unless you want to swap in a w58, and running stock, I see no reason not to, as you can sell the R154 for much more than you can a W58, however that 2JZ-W58 bell-housing is pretty rare, so you can make a pretty penny off that too...

yeah i was looking an new bellousing and flyweel will run to about 600+ :/ i could maybe buy a used 1jz bellhousing but i would prob buy the flywheel new, and then i would need motor mounts too...do you know if any 2jzge harness would work? or are there certain ones that would make wiring easier? the guy said the supra harness is missing plugs, but he has a harness off his gs300 that he will throw in. I dont really wanna sell my r154 because i will eventually need one if i do boost...but if i do find a w58 for cheap ill jump on it. But it all depends if i pick up the engine.... im not sure yet, the part that has me worried is the wiring part Dx.

Bleh do you know anyone else who has done a n/a 2jz swap that i can ask a few questions to?
