Yeah, he said he'd give me $20 for saying all that BS about him, but I told him not to worry about it:biglaugh:

Were's he at? I hope he's checking out all the nice stuff we're saying about him.

Thanks for the review Sl1deways... and thanks to the rest of you for your kind words.

I'm having some rather severe issues right now, so I won't be on often... I'll check in when I can.

I've cleaned up this thread by removing all of the comments that this thread could have gone without. IE: "Good work". I've left all of the posts that had questions or something like them in the thread still.

If you're wondering how much of it I cleaned up, the total amount of posts came out to 23.

I suppose now would be a good time to clog my thread with something else that's only remotely related.

Here's a teaser of a mod I'm working on (and no, it doesn't stop at the color change):

It's not dim, the blue backlight is actually too bright... so I will be adding a dimmer to it.

UPDATED INFO!

In the following thread I detail how I dealt with the error codes 24 and 31:

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48022

In the above method you do NOT connect V-Out2 from the MAFT Pro to THA (you're going to want V-Out2 for something else anyway). Once you've set the power to feed from both Acc and IG2 (I tapped at +B for this signal) (both isolated with diodes!) when you start the car set the ignition switch to Acc for a second to allow the MAFT Pro to boot, then crank.

Also, hence forth MAFT Pro updates include the fuel pump controls for our FC connection on the AFM harness. This is as of 5.x and on. If you're sticking with a lesser version for one reason or another then only use those I've mirrored and linked to in this writeup.

Lastly, I'm experimenting with the new Enhanced TPS functions found in 5.x1 and on. However, there is a bug with versions prior to 5.08, so I recommend downloading that version or newer. 5.08 can be found at the following location: http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?p=24194#post24194

What ETPS does is allows the MAFT Pro to intercept and pass the TPS signal until a set threshold is reached at which point it will feed the TCCS (ECU) a steady signal of what ever is set for V-Out2 in the Setup menus. You also need to set V-Out2's function to TPS: Enhanced (IIRC). This will allow you to begin WOT tracking sooner than stock... do remember that your timing will advance too, so don't over do it!!!

Well I guess this is good news. You mean I got to tear all that shit out and rewire again:nono:

OK, since you ragged on the other noobie in the other thread, :) and you know what a noob I am with computers and shit, any problems you would expect me to have doing this, or do I need further instructions?

BTW anybody else that has been wondering how my Maft-Pro set up has been going, so far pretty good :). With CRE's help my car is running pretty strong, and if I can figure out how to upload some settings, and now do the above mentioned upgrades, and probably retune a few things, I can maybe finally get some new HP numbers:naughty:

Well, the only hard thing about these couple changes is getting the diodes biased properly... remember, they'll only flow power in one direction (well, not really, but close enough...). I'll post up a diagram of how to wire them in.

The resistors are easy enough to wire in and the ETPS wiring I'll post a diagram for... it's simple enough too though. Grey (V-Out2) goes to TPS signal in line for the ECU. Then cut the wire so that line is ONLY being fed by the MAFT Pro. Then connect the end coming from the fire wall and connect it to the BLUE wire on the MAFT Pro's 10 pin connector (see the BLUE line in my wiring diagram if you're unsure or if your harness uses a different color code).

Then the software settings.... I'll post those later... I doubt anyone here is ready and waiting for them at this instant. ;)
