I'm not sure what I want to do with it just yet. It's in good condition but in pieces since the previous owner planned on doing a brand new paint job among other things. It was a 5 speed turbo.. has no motor or trans right now. Comes with 2 interior colors so not sure which one I'll re-install. Targa top. 1990, black... ect.

Here is the picture of it before he tore it down:

I might paint it if it really needs it.. I might not if it doesn't. I might part it out, I might put a 7m or a 1jz in, who knows?

Is it still that nice? I love it. You gotta let me know on this one. Would you be interested in working something out on a trade? What is all taken apart? Let me know what you are going to do with it.

I havent been on here in a while, but was wondering if any of you wisconsin guys had hobbyist or collectors plates on thier supra.
the dmv site says vehicles need to be emissions tested every two years at time of plate renewal, but it doesnt say anything about hobbyist or collector plates because they arent renewed.
I didnt renew my plates on my 88 last fall when they expired because I was planning on putting hobby plates on it.
as the weather has been getting nicer Im really getting the itching to get the car out and need to get it registered again.

Wait till July to register if you don't want to do emissions on hobbyist plates, otherwise its required once right when you get them, but after that you don't need for the time you own the car. You're also gonna need another car thats titled in your name in order to get hobbyist plates.

For residents of Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Waukesha and Washington counties, until July 1, 2008, an emission test is required within 45 days of the date that a Hobbyist plate is issued, if the vehicle is a 1968 or newer.

Basically for hobbyist plates you only need to go to emissions the FIRST time only. There is no stickers ect hobbyist plates. If you want to register and don't want to go to emissions just register it out of the 2 counties that require emissions. If you have any friends out of those 2 counties, get there address and use it at the DMV. Say the car is stored there, and you shouldn't even need to go.

I've been meaning to order mine as well but, my registration is suspended because of un-paid parking tickets :aigo:. Awww well I'll get them eventually..

and Audioman, dude whats up its been a long time!? Where have you been? I got a car to take to CHI2k8 this year :). Hows your car doing? Whats your name again, I forgot?

my name is ryan. ya its been a long time. I been busy lately with lots of OT at work, got married, got a kid on the way and remodeled most of the rooms in my house getting ready for the kid. I doubt ill make it to chi2k8, as i missed last year, but I am gonna do my darndest to get some drag racing in at a dragstrip close to me. once it warms up a little more, we'll have to get together sometime for a cruise or something. my car is doing ok I think. I only put about 1k miles on it since you saw it last at chi2k6. havent done any work on it but cant wait to drive it cuz its way faster than my truck.
is tom still around? I havent talked to him in a long time either.

I don't have a supra anymore, but I still wear my SM hoodie....if that counts. I already miss having a supra...wrenching on the mustang or the buick just isn't the same.

Collector plates are a good deal, I almost got them until it fell through, long story. Looks like I'll have to settle with what I chose for my custom plates. If you guys see a maroon pre 89 with plates GTE PWRD, honk, its me.

Mines got boat load of mods, but I haven't driven mine enough to be able to entirely tell the state of the motor, we'll see in a couple of weeks.
