MA70 is any Supra with a 7MGE / 7MGTE. JZA70 is just the 1JZ-GTE MKIII ( Only in Japan and other non-NA ). GA70 was a 2.0 liter twin turbo narrow body Supra ( Only in Japan or other non-NAmerica ).

For a 2JZ swap your best bet is a 89.5-92. Crossmember / Motor mounts are different as well as the wiring on pre-89.5's then JZA70's. You can get adapter brackets from BIC on here though for pre-89's.

I think RHD is out of the ?... but you could change LHD to RHD, and pre 89 supras are better!!!!!! all 2jz's are from japan so "JDM" doesnt make a big difference to the engine, if any difference at all...

there are: MA70, JZA70, and GA70. M is the 7m engine, JZ is the 1JZ(2.5tt),
and G is the 1G(2.0tt) engine(which is rare and exclusive to japan moreso than 1JZ's or 7M's).

Thats awsome guys. You all have been very helpfull. This cold weather is bummin me out because I want to get my dsm finished. Can't do that in this cold weather. They say its suppose to be warmer next weekend though so hopefully I will accomplish something then. Soon as my dsm is finished I am going to sell it to get some dough for a supra. Then I will start saving for the 2jz swap. This has been a dream for quite some time for me so I can't wait. My brother has that swapped quest and since then its been nothing but jealousy. LOL. Thanks once again for all the good info. I knew I could count on fellow Wisconsinites to help out. Thanks much...

Ok I may have found a supra I will trade my laser for. Its a 87 supra turbo automatic. The body on this car is almost perfect with just a little bit of bubbles coming through around rear wheel wells. Its not a targa either so no leaks. Only concerns are. Supra doom you told me I need some brackets or something from some BIC to swap a 2jz into the pre 89 supras? What is the cost on these brackets and how much more difficult is it to do the swap on an 87 compared to a 89+? Also is it that hard to swap a r154 5spd trans and clutch pedal set up etc. into a auto car? What do you all need? If I got this car I would have to definitely swap it to a manual. Guess it would probably be done when I did the 2jz swap. The supra is even bright red too. Color I wanted. Oh yeah can you get new seat covers and foam for the mkIII's anywhere? How expensive is it too. This car has grey leather and I guess the front seats are pretty beat and I would most likely want to do the rear seats too. Thanks in advance for the help.

What you need do is find a parts car for all your interior needs. People part out cars all the the time, you could find some nice seats.

Check the vendor section on here. Look for BecauseIcan performance, and go to the website to see prices.. or in the section on here. Also you'd need to do a tad more wiring... something like cutting the interior dash wiring connectors from an 89+ and putting them on your 87 dash harness instead of the old connectors. Other then that its all the same.

auto to 5 speed isn't that hard, but a little time consuming. I don't remember exactly what it consists of.. but search the topic there is tons of info out there. I'm pretty sure its like, trans, pedal assemblies, ds, and like one or 2 more things.

I have a 91 laser rs turbo 5spd. Mods are as follows:
Full 3" stainless exhaust system turbo back(Thermal r&d)
Hardened upper intercooler piping
Aftermarket BOV I believe greddy type s
Manual boost controller
a-pillar gauges w/ autometer boost and narrowband
I think thats it. But I have another talon tsi that I stripped which has everything including another good 5spd trans. Only thing it doesn't have is an engine. I have it pretty much stripped now.
Here are some pics of the laser.
