what!?!?!??!?!

More than what I got it for after taking care of EVERYTHING wrong with it. Oil leaks, power steering leaks, bumper held on with zip ties, front support cut with a hack saw, burnt fan relay, clutch cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch, undercoating, clean and neaten engine bay, wire tuck, full tune up, fix EGT Defi gauge and more.

Previous owner pointed out all the wrong stuff, so I wasn't suprised though. You would like this one, the coilovers on the rear was about a half inch off on the right side. Imagine how that looked when I loaded it off the trailer. :-/

Was not a walk in the park as I did not want to part out a 91 Shadow Grey Targa. Only thing it needs now is a tune, that will come when it gets warmer though. Car does not have the bumper on it right now, that will go on once the warm weather comes since moving it in and out of the shop with all this snow is gauranteed to bend the bumper.

Yes, I know. It should bring me a shiny penny when the nice weather comes and I put the bumper back on.

These High School kids always look and admire it when they pass by, sure one of them wants a birthday present of graduation gift....

Still needed:
-1JZ Motor Mount Brackets
-1JZ Auto Tranny
-Rear Sump Setup
-Water pump
-Gasket Kit
-Timing belt/tensioner/adjuster
-Serp belt/tensioner
-Thermostat
-Speedo cable
-Place order with Raptor for exhaust setup
-T4 Turbo

I got it from a Canadian import place for $2k shipped to my door. Comes with everything pictured.. this is an actual pic of the motor, they provided compression test videos as well (showing the serial # in the video also) and it pumps out 175-180psi on all 6..

Thanks. I'll provide a link AFTER I receive the motor an it looks good, I'll write a review as well. I don't want to 'vouch' for them until I receive it and it's in good condition. To complete the install it's going to be roughly $3k. I'm going to spend around $4,500 with all of the extras I want..

Hey Mike, if you plan on getting a used water pump let me know. I have one off of my 1JZ. Worked fine and no shakes I can gauranteed that.

I can send you a picture if you want. Shoot me an offer.

Second, that is a wicked price shipped to you and I hope it is all good, so I can get one from them for my other Supra.

Third, is that price with the ECU and harness?

1) Water pump and everything else I typically get NEW just for the effort. Why not pay a few bucks extra to KNOW it's shiny brand new, ya know?
2) Yes it's a great price, they seem to have a nice reputation so I think everything's going to work out fine. Comp test vid shows 180psi
3) Yes, Harness, ECU, Igniter, Map sensor, tranny, twins, etc..

O fuck. Definately let me know about the engine. That sounds like a good place. When do you expect to get it by?

Just for the record, I wasn't trying to sell you a crap part but just asking since we all know that money is hard to get now. No problem I will use it on the 2J if I get it from the place you get it from.

Had some problems with my bank but after I called them and cleared it up, the 2JZ is now in the mail! The company I ordered from shipped very quickly. They're very polite and keep me updated OFTEN and answer emails OFTEN! Hopefully everything is good upon arrival so I can recommend them to you all.

Mike

I got happy when I saw Wednesday because I was looking at tomorrow, then you said the 16th. Darn. Hope the motor is all good

Gonna pull the pan and check the bearings, if they're good, and the compression is 180psi across all cyl, I'll be very very very very very very very happy and relieved. I need to place my DM order here very soon, and my RockAuto order.

Your pulling the pan along with the main and rod caps to check the bearings? New rod and main bolts or ARP?

Just curious, what are you getting from RockAuto? The refreshen up parts? I like Toyota for all of those.

Replace every single seal and gasket you can when the motor is out. You will be happy. Timing service and seals, valve covers, intake manifold gaskets, injector o-rings usually get brittle as well.

From RockAuto will be things like the thermostat, oil drain plug, serp belt, etc. Things that you wouldn't mind getting from a local AutoZone or something. All parts that most people like Toyota, I'll be getting Toyota. Water pump, oil pump, gaskets, seals, etc..
