I have found a nice pair of 17" aluminum skinny wheels,
(JDM Integra-R space saver rims),
That wll fit over my brakes on the front.
But I am skeptical on using the tires that came on them.

But there are several 17" bike tires available in the same size range.
So I am going to try a set.
Looking at a set of Bridgestone BT45s or Metzeler,
in 130/80x17. Both are rated to 130 mph.

Unless someone knows where I can get a regular skinny drag tire in 17".

The Q45 also has an aluminum space saver rim.
I think it's a 16" rim.

Im wondering the same thing. If I get a set of drag tires for the back, what do I need for the front? why is running my street tires a no no? whats different about running 4 street tires than street in front and slicks in back? is it dangerous or?
I have an 88t 5spd with intake, 3" exhaust with ported elbow, stock ct, boost controller, stock height suspension, stock brakes. I went drag racing for the first time ever a couple years ago on my regular street tires and didn't hook up very well. best time was 14.17. I have a spare set of sawblades in the garage and want to get something that will hookup better for track use only. I dont want to have any fitment problems with my fenders and dont want to modify them. what tires would you recommend for a rookie?
thanks,
Ryan
