ok, the mk3 supra came with a 7m. my opinion is to stay with the 7m and build it the right way. any jz motor is gonna cost ya out the rear to build up. 7m parts are a lil more common to find and cheaper to get.
and on another note, i know of a few places in the nothern alabama area that have several mk3's laying around rotting to pieces.
again, just my 2 cents.

the 7m is a great motor.. lets just put it this way, you didn't care enough, or pay enogh attention to keep up on maintence, so when the jz springs a leak which they will. you going to jump on that or say she's bullet proff and keep addin oil? any motor is prone to a bad bottome end with the lack of attention they deserve, there's reason you need to change oil too, oil is naterualy burned, and blow by gasses contain minerals and base/acids that break down oil..
also to much oil or not enough oil can cause problems of air bubbles in the oil at high rpms
