Would 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear fit 87 supra? Will be installing a sets of coilover very soon also. What tire height size should i go, 35, 40? Does the offset matter? Do i need to roll my fenders? Sorry i very new to this.

I would go with the 35 offset but it wont make much of a difference. As long as you don't go too low a roll is not needed.

Just picked up some 17x8 +35 and 17x9 +25. I need some help choosing the right size tires. I do not want to roll the fenders if possible. I was thinking 225/45 and 255/40. Does that sound about right?

At +25 you will probably need to roll he fenders in the rear to fit the 255.

do you think a 245 would be safe w/out a roll or should i just get the 255 and plan on rolling?

Thanks

Well actually it depends on what kind of stance you are going for. I am not in to drag racing so I wouldn't know how you want it to fit.

I dont care, as long as they dont rub or anything, they'll be for track use so... What is back spacing really? How does it affect stance? What about these?

Back spacing is the space in between the center of the wheel and the back of the wheel. Basically that offset is +0 and won't work. For not rubbing you will need around a +35 which is a back spacing about a back spacing of 6.4"

Then how are peoplae using welds with only 5" backspacing?

How would I know. As I said I don't have much info on it. You asked me what fit in the fender and I told you. A 5" back spacing will stick out for sure though. Are you sure those cars have the rims tucked under the fender? A link would help too.

Saying 5" backspacing is just like saying xx offset. It doesn't tell you anything without knowing the width.

To everyone, you guys really need to read and search. You guys are all asking pretty similar questions and I don't know how/why Boris keeps telling you exactly the same thing. Unless he's got some auto-reply setup going that I don't know about.

But this stuff is simple. Just look at what other people run and how they fit and base your choices off that. There's more than enough different setups in here to cover pretty much everything.

I got a killer deal on some MK4 TT wheels with brand new Bridgestone Potenzas on them, and I'm hoping I'm not doing something dumb by getting them. They're the "chromed" version, and the sizes are 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear. Are these gonna rub?

Nope you should have no issues. There are many many people running TT rims as is with around those tire sizes with no issues.

Just bought some Ruff Racing 280 (machined black) wheels last night...

Front: 8.5 x 18 +35 w/ 245/40/18
Rear: 9.5 x 18 +35 w/ 275/35/18

Tires are Toyo T1R Proxes

Suspension is Megan racing coilovers.

When they get here (shipping from Florida to Western Canada) I will fit them and post pics for you all :evil2:

Easy fit. Basically the same set up as a my car on the first page and a few other cars on here. Should be really nice :)
