Ok guys. Almost time to finalize my wheel choice. Here is what I have:

18x9 +38 front w/ 255/35/18
18x10 +38 rear w/ 295/30/18

thoughts? My main concern is will this rub on the inside, against my sway bar or coilovers.

if my math is correct, i think you're going to need one hell of a roll and pull in the back. the backspacing is almost stock, but the wheel is 3-4 inches further out. my rears are 18x9.5 +20, with 275-35's, and i had to roll the fenders. i still rub a bit on big bumps and hard corners.

Wouldn't a +20 poke more than a +38

it's just over a half inch, but his wheels are a half inch wider, so it should have the same poke. also, the 295 is 20mm wider than my 275.

Mine is currently
Frt rims - 18x8 +35, 225/40zr18
Rear rims - 18x9 +35, 255/35r18

The rear rubber on mine will rub the lip of the wheel well on really big bumps.. so if I were any lower I would have to roll my quarters. 8" fronts like to track the road pretty good, not sure I would enjoy any wider up front...

your specs are like me moving my rears to the front... definitely don't think I would do that personally..

I'm trying to understand everything I need to know about wheel size, but positive offset sticks out more right?

you're not the only one. the higher positive the number, the more it sits in. for example...... 18x9.5 +35 will sit in farther than 18x9.5 +20. the +20 will be 15mm closer to the fender. i've been trying forever to find the perfect wheel size to fit the most tire under the car. i think something like 17x11 +50 and a 315-35 17 would be optimal. i had 17x10.5 + 25, and it stuck out about an inch.

that size will stick out 3/4" farther than what i have. you will definitely have to roll, and probably pull the fenders. that is unless you put a narrow tire on there.

Can anyone tell me if these will work? I want to know if I need grinding/hammering/rolling/cutting/spacers/longer studs/different lugs and if I have other options.

I believe I need longer studs and different lugs.

Rear Plan:

15x7 with 4.5 backspacing Weld Racing RTS S71 (medium pad)

26x9.5-15 Hoosier QTP

Front Plan:

15x4 with 1.5 backspacing Weld Racing RTS S71 (medium pad)

I'll have to measure the diameter of my current front tire. It's pretty small and I wouldn't mind going a little smaller so I'm thinking I would use a 24x5x15. I don't think I'll pick a Hoosier because they don't have any DOT front runners.. Maybe MT or MH, still have to look.

Goal is quickest and fastest DOT setup.

Thanks for your time,
Craig

why not a 15x8 rear? also the stock tires are 24.9.
there's a few members on here running that kind of setup. i'm interested in the answers as well. :)

Lighter is better and the hoosier should fit well on it. Specs say 8" maximum rim for that tire. Next step up is 11.5 and I don't think I need that much tire. There's a 10.5 MT but I've looked up everything I can and it looks like it performs identical to the slightly smaller hoosier.

My current front tire is just over 22" tall so Ill have to look up different front runners.

Yea maybe it will, it does have 8" tread width. The 6" min and 8" max confused me a little bit, but I guess since I'm getting a whole new setup I just need to match it to the tread width.
Here's the 8" wide medium pad with 5.5 backspacing

This front runner might work
22x3.5-15, 4" tread width, 4" min rim and 4" max rim

Will this stuff fit? Will I need spacers? Is there something else that's better? I have stock size brakes and calipers.

I am about to get a 1990 mk3 supra and am going to have it wrapped in a matte blue vinyl but dont know a good set of wheels for it. I was thinking about a nice deep dish 5 spoke wheel preferably the factory 16" size I was thinking 16x9 in the front 16x10 in the rear but also dont know if that will fit.

What wheels would you all suggest with a matte blue wrap??

Also I am looking for reasonably priced wheels maybe rota or drag nothing like volk

My car is an 89'' Mkiii Supra. The specs that ive been thinking of is 19x8.5 +25 225/40 up front and 19x9.5 +35 255/40 rear. I was wondering if it will fit or will I have to roll my fenders? What offset would be good and still have a good lip. Im not not trying race my car thats why Im getting 19's.

Didn't read the whole post but I'm looking at 18x8.5+25 fronts and 18x10+25 rears, stock suspension and fenders. How will these fit?
