Hey guys,

I havn't spent much money on my supra lately and I think its time for some new wheels/tires. I have read a lot of these posts and they are super helpful!

Would you guys look over what I am thinking before I drop the cash on it. I am looking for a good classic look of nice rims and bigger tires, nothing fancy. I don't want to roll, pull or camber.

Rims: RPF1's (BorHor inspired)
Tires: Sumitomo HTR iii
Front 17x8 +45 with 225/45/17
Rear 17x9 +45 with 275/40/17

Thanks!

^ Glad I can inspire some people lol. If it were me I would go with 9.5 +38 in the rear and maybe 8.5 +30 in the front. Even with the slightly larger size it should still be conservative enough not to need any rolling. Is your car lowered or do you plan on lowering it?

Because you don't want to roll you fenders I think the sizes I recommended should work out. It will give the most aggressive look with out fender work.

Hey guys, seeing as my last set of rims got stolen (17x10 &17x11) im looking for new rims.... again.

How would 18x10.5 +15 f/r with a 285/35 on the front and a 295/30 on the back go for INNER clearance?

My main concern is with the fronts hitting on the sway bar at full lock, from what i have researched the rears should be fine. i can get them in a +0 offset if need be to give more clearance.

thanks in advance. and yes, i do know i'll need slightly more than just a roll and pull...

We can think about it this way.. When I had 18x8.5 +35 it rubbed on the inside. With calculations it comes out 10x5 +35 will go in an extra 5mm so it will probably rub. At +0 I believe it will give you the needed clearance.

I almost read all the 270 pages of this thread. I like it very much.

I still like to have some personal advice.

Just ordered the XXR 521 (they are not availeble in holland) . Front 18x85, Rear 18x10 ET 25 all around.

The tires i want to choose: 235/40/18 in the front and 255/45/18 in the rear. Is that ok?

I need to roll the rear. Also the front?

Thanks.

Can i also use 18x10 in the front with a roll?

What is then the best tire size to use?

My car is lowered with koni's / Intrax 1,5 inch.

I have a a new set of rims. They're 18x7.5 +48mm offset. I want to put a set of wheel spacers on to get the rims close to flush with the wheel wells. What size of wheel spacer should I get?

Yes you can depending on offset. I run 18/10 +25 all around.

Your kind on the low side. If your not tucking at all then you could run 285 all around. If your tucking tho 255 front works better as 265 starts rubbing on the fender under harder corners. 275 works perfect in the back.

Hey guys
I want to put some Work xd9 18x9 +20 in front and 18x10 +18
I'm using tein flex
Will this be flush? will it require roll or stretch tire?
Also what tire size would you recommed?

Those will stick out just a tad but pretty close to flush and will look get as far as fitment. Tho would need to stretch the tires if slammed.

Count the number of full turns the lug nuts you are using with those wheels it takes from just starting to touching the rim where it sits. I wouldn't run any spacer that lets the lug nuts sit less than 5 full turns. Will prolly either need longer studs or better fitting wheels.

Hello, I am wanting my car to sit 50mm lower and I am ordering a full set of bilsteins for my mkiii, if I am after a 50mm drop and I buy springs that have a total of a 30mm drop, am I right in saying -

The shock can be adjusted so that the effect of a 50mm drop is accomplished as the shock is "adjustable" and will then keep the spring captive?
Also, it has been mentioned that the shock can be customized to suit shorter springs in order of keeping them captive?

My plan is to buy a whole second set of struts and buying new springs/shocks then refurbishing the struts.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, where I live the laws are a bit different (100mm ride height to be legal, all springs captive). not sure if this is the same for you guys and I have only worked with double wish bone separate spring and shock set-ups before.

Thanks, any feedback is greatly respected.

If I did my math right, a set of 16 x 8 +18 on all four would fit about the same, right?
I'm sure this seems like an odd size but I am thinking of picking up a set of Starion/Conquest wheels (if I can find them)

Any suggestions on offsets for going 17x9 all round?
I dont really want to have to roll or pull the guards

Thinking 17x9 +20 or 25 all round?
