I am looking at a set of wheels this weekend - they're not exactly the right "fit" for a Supra, but the price is right. What do you think as far as fitment is concerned?
My Car has:
Eibach Springs
Tokico Illumina II Struts
100% Stock Body

Wheels:
17x8" Front +12mm Offset
17x10.5 Rear +27mm Offset

From what I've read here, it sounds like the rears will work, barely. What I'm really concerned about is the fronts rubbing as I park and such. Your thoughts?

I have 18x9.5 +30 up front which would actually sit within 1mm of where you wheel would sit and i dont have a rubbing issues, my front is slammed and im running some very slightly stretched tires

Generally they are for brake caliper clearance. So super low disk would be something you can run in the rear because the hat of the supra brakes stick out farther then the caliper. The low disc will also give you more lip. In the front depending on if you have a BBK or not you can run med or hyper disk. There you would lose some lip but would gain brake clearance.

Are your front fenders modified in any way? And what size tire are you running up there? I feel like the wheels I might be getting just won't fit well enough even to justify the price.

how much work to fit an 18x10 +0 front, 18x11.5 +19? have godfather overfenders ready to go on if required.

edit: Boo for math. Currently MKIV TTs with 25mm spacer in the front, 10mm in the back, so effectively 8.5 +25 front and 9.5 +40 in the back? if that's right and my math is good, the front inside would be ~6mm farther away from the shock, front outside would be ~44mm towards the outside of the car. Rears would be ~4.5mm closer to the shock and ~46mm more towards the outside of the car. Hmm, so not likely to fit even with overfenders (the are around 25mm thick from what I recall).

Fenders are lightly rolled, tires are 225\40 but I actually want to get spacers since I find its slightly sunk

look at my car at the top of this page. the rears are 17x10.5 +27 with 315-35's. there's no way they would fit if i lowered it, without a lot of work.

18x9.5 +12 Fronts, 18x10.5 +12 Rears

Tires are 245 front 255 rear (I forgot the wall size), and I will be going a bit wider in the rear later. I'm not dropped yet so I have no rubbing, but I'll probably need to roll my fenders when I do drop it.

Hmmmm I wanted to run a similar setup like Soapras but in 18" SSR SP1's, although I wanted to buy a wheel that would clear the 13in AZP BBK's front and 12.9in rear w/park brake. I don't wanna buy a wheel then buy the brakes and the wheels not fitting afterwards. I was thinking 18x10 +19 Hyper Disk and 18x11 +24 Super Low or Normal Disk. Not sure what tire size to run? Going to be lowered on Stance coilovers.

I think these work out nicely with spacing and such...

F- 18x8 +38, 10mm spacer, 235-40-18 Mich Pilot Sport A/S
R- 18x9 +38, no spacer 275-35-18 Hankook Ventus V12 EVO

RPM 505 rims, spaced in front 'cause they hit the ARZ brakes. Not doing spacers for the stance/look/whatever, they were cheap and fit well. People seem to like the fitment, however so I figured I'd post it up!

Is 2" front lip and rear lip 3.5" too much? 18 x 8.5 +35 front and 18x9.5 +35 rear?

You dont go by lip size. You go by offset. +35 is will be sunk a little. +25 would be flush.

But yes those wheels would fit no problem.
