I am so glad this shit was put here, because I was thinking the exact same thing. Now...., i'm not. The filter has to be taken to the air or the air has to be ported to the filter. I def. want to keep my fog lamps. I just don't want to run them if I'm off the leash.

^^^Looks good, what did you use to attach the hardpipe to the AFM? I was going to do that setup, but I had to use the stock rubber part because of the vaccum line running to it.

Where the hell have you been? I thought you were my partner in crime on fixing our shiat at lowes...., don't let it get out. Tell em home depot or costco.

Hey..., there is nothing wrong with turbo's. I just don't want to have to pay that much to play and my 7mge is plenty of engine to have a good time. I am thinking about suspension springs to lower it another 1.6 inches.

Yea, I am finally doing the rest of my Lowes cold air intake tomorrow.(Just like we talked about in our PM's Supramacist. LOL) Aluminium duct work FTW! Then a new engine and suspension and then finally in a year or so new paint and get started on the exterior.

How are you thinking about hanging the tube, concerning the black plastic shield. I don't want to totally remove it . I want to put screw hole pattern in it but have some place where the duct pokes through facing forward ofcourse. I was also wondering if you had any thoughts about how to attache the tubing to the oval pipe. The duct is hoing to have to be held in place or it's liable to crinkle or some shit, but nothing will be hurt, maybe I am over thinking the entire thing.

When I did the FIPK of coures I got rid of the airbox completley. I made a heat/water sheild around the filter. If you look through the hole where the snorkel was you can see directly to the plastic gaurd on the under side of the car. I removed that and cut out the section by the towing brackets( If you are laying under the front of the car and towards the middle of the car, look to your right and you'll see the towing brakets. The plastic gaurd is flat until it comes towards the middle of the car then it slopes up I cut that whole up-slopping section out.) I went to the hardware store and bought 4" dryer ducting(the shiney silver flexable stuff) and a floor register w/ a 4" outlet. I ran the dryer ducting through the hole where the snorkel was and ran it under the headlight(make sure to be careful and don't snag it on screws etc. it WILL TEAR easily if you don't pay attention to what you are doing) and cut it CLOSE to the size I needed. I shortend the floor register so it would fit between the grill and radiator. I mounted the register to the lower grill and pulled the dryer duct as straight as I could, trimmed it and attached it to the outlet of the register w/ a 4" hose clamp. It is kinda ghetto but it is simple and cheap to replace anything that breaks. It isn't nearly as complicated as it sounds, once you get under the car and start looking around you'll see what I'm talking about if you don't already. Whew that was longer than I thought.

What's the diameter of that intake? It looks huge.

Not sure I can check on the weekend for you, it has to feed a Mustang Cobra Twin 57mm throttle body though.

hmmm, Not sure I'm, Going to do mine the same way, I know what you mean by the screws they will eat that thing up. duck tape the tubing for added everything. Seriously. It helps, it make a huge difference, depending on the application. I haven't got that far yet. The cold air will be one of the final things next to the broken hatch glass.

Yeah, I didn't duct tape the hose just because the heat would make a mess of things. I used that metal tape on the outlet of the duct so it wouldn't tear up the ducting. Just be cautious when you are doing it.
