Here is my setup, if I had an NA.

Custom intake pipe, powder coated black. Not a eBay pipe, but my custom pipe which fits perfectly as OEM.

Stock airbox, keeps the cops happy. Also, the stock airbox ONLY breathes outside air, so its a cold air intake from the factory

K&N insert

A duct from grill, to scoop incoming air, and running to the front of the airbox.

I have tested this setup and shows great gains at 35MPH plus as far as intake temperatures.
where cani find/buy K&N insert?

I got one from a salvage yard when I was getting parts from a couple supras they had. It was filthy, got it for free, bought a recharge kit, now it looks like new! uhm... you can probably get one any local place that sells K&N stuff... just tell them you want an oem replacement filter for your supra.

not if you don't remove the fog lamp on the passenger side. It won't pull enough air with the lamp in. So to do it your way, you sacrifice fog lamps, and I am just not into it. The quick and easy way is to remove the p;astic cover under the passenger side light and either remove placstick or try tp build an air scoop of some sort, running across the loop and pointing directlty at the filter.

Good job fotosoup! Looks very nice! And I must say that those pictures are freaking amazing! So clear! Also, the power steering vacuum line, did that come with the kit? or was that something you got separate?

the power steering line is actually a fule line that I found in my garage... the stock line didn't reach, and the crappy one that came with the kit wouldnt fit on the nipple on the power steering pump... luckily I found that fuel line in my tool cabinet.. it saved me haha

^^^Looks good, what did you use to attach the hardpipe to the AFM? I was going to do that setup, but I had to use the stock rubber part because of the vaccum line running to it.

here's mine.

Unless I'm just not seeing it, it is highly recommended that you build some sort of metal plate to sit under the filter. I'm turbo, but my Air Filter sits below my headlight and facing down, I cut up a piece of sheet metal, bolted it up to a place that was an empty hole and now when it rains, I'm worry free.

I noticed that alot of people here running the K&N/Apexi style run tubing under the headlight to the fog light area. I plan on running some sort of ducting from where the stock snorkel went under the head light to the front grill. I just did the K&N FIPK tonight and plan on leaving the filter where it is at.(The same place that the stock air box was) Any body have any advice on making a heat/water sheild in between the filter and fan/radiator? I don't have a fan shroud on my car and I am afraid of the fan spraying water on the filter next time it rains.

i know exactly what you mean.

not only it gives better cooling to the radiator, it also act as a splash shield. the under tray i have is made out of 16 gauge sheet metal.
