Come on Duane your car must have the power to hit 200mph DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT
Just because a car has the power and gearing to go 200mph dose not mean it has the structural aerodynamics and stability to get there safely. I wouldnt do it in a MKIII supra unless i knew that thing had no lift on it at high speeds. My personal best was 155-160 area racing a c6 z06. Melted two pistons when i did it too :icon_bigg

They do as been proven the past few years in Europe with MKIII's taking the stop spot at the events...

There's a thread somewhere, but the cars are capable of handling the forces.

Pretty much stock everything but a shimmed wastegate. Test track of course...

Many more mods now, and it gets going so much faster I'm a bit scared to do it again...
At least he was on a test track, endangering people on the highway was fun when i was 16, it's just not worth my time anymore, if I do speed i do it in no traffic and I am wise enough when to and not to.

Don't think I'd try for 200 without a LOT of racer tape on the front panel gaps.

They have pics of it on here (or SF) somewhere, the gap between the header panel and the front bumper gets a bit big and both cars lost the top moulding around the windshield...

It's even more scary to watch the MKIV's with the euro hoodscoops go that fast, the hood bulges noticably...

The bumpers for the drivers side window on mine need adjusting as it moves around a LOT over 150 so that's been my limiting factor.

Might tape the screen molding as well thanks!

The main focus of these Mkiii's is the aero dynamics. I personally have been to 141, I am not bragging because again that is not to fast when you talk about high speed. I did test the steering at that speed and the car didn't lift and changed lanes swiftly. if you are someone that likes 150+ I would advise you get a wing and maybe even front canards for your front bumper. The car is quite heavy, but a nice gust of wind under that car can call for disaster.

Another important thing is also keeping your engine at a good operating condition. Those HIGH RPMS are not good on stock internals and I have heard of a few people hurting their engines. So the right oil and parts are also crucial.
